To Colleen and all,

By it's nature any recording of any part of "The Report" for the Short Nonfiction Collection will have to be proof listened "Word Perfect." Colleen, I know you read very well, so I'm not too concerned there. To take some of the "word perfect" burden off Craig's shoulders, I will PL your readings separately from Craig's DPL, so we will have two persons' PLs as a double-check.

Thank you all! I did use the link directly from the DOJ website. I'm in process now and should have them done later today.

I've been fussing over this trying to get it just right and I'm at the point where I hate it, hate my voice, and think it all sounds terrible, so it's time to hand it off and get an outside opinion before I give into temptation to delete it and start over.

Hi Colleen, Thank you for your contribution to vol. 65. As I mentioned before, both Craig and I will do separate DPL's of your recording. I will listen to it after I've had some lunch. It's a beautiful day here in Illinois, daffodils in bloom, bright sun, and I've been out walking.

Thanks Sue! I’m hoping to finish with the second one today or tomorrow but I have some PLing of my own to catch up also!

Hi Colleen, I have finished PLing your reading. Your voice is fine; the reading is clear throughout. There are a few places where, by the changes in the way your voice sounds, it is evident that you inserted words or phrases into the recording, but this did not effect the listener's ability to understand the text. You certainly do not need to and should not take it upon yourself to re-record! :)

There are two errors I noted:

on page 4, at 1:09, the text reads "The IRA later used social media accounts." You left out the word "later."

on page 9, at 22:05.5, the text reads "pleaded guilty to lying to investigators about, inter alia..."
Instead of reading the Latin term "inter alia," you gave an English translation of the Latin. I think you should read the Latin as it is written here and skip the translation.

There is also one long gap between 12:40 and 12:43, which should be cut out.

Overall, you did a good job. :) I was glad you read smoothly and evenly and did not let your voice take on any "tone" which might interfere with the listener's ability to form their own conclusions about what is contained in this section of the report.

Please wait for Craig's DPL of your recording before making any corrections.

I will be pleased to PL your second section when you have it ready.

Craig
Hi Craig, Thank you for this contribution to Vol. 0 :) 65!

"La Réunion was a utopian socialist community formed in 1855 by French, Belgian, and Swiss colonists on the south bank of the Trinity River in central Dallas County, Texas (US)... The founder of the community, Victor Prosper Considerant, was a French democratic socialist who directed an international movement based on Fourierism." (Wikipedia)

--------------------

A few places need attention:

page 33, at 8:15, text says "unfriendly reception." You say "friendly."

page 35, second to last paragraph, at 15.59.5
text reads "that we disguise our opinion in order to conciliate the favor of the Southern people." You say "inciliate"

page 36, at 18.13.70, please check your pronunciation of Fourier. https://translate.google.com/#view=home&op=translate&sl=en&tl=fr&text=Fourier

page 36-37, at 19:43, text reads "I am here forced, in spite of myself, to do that from which I had wished to abstain." You say "from which I had wished to be abstained."

Hello Colleen -

I also PLED

Here's what I found. I think March 2019 should be part of the reading at beginning and end

on page 4, at 1:09, the text reads "The IRA later used social media accounts." You left out the word "later."

1:47 To organize those rallies, IRA employees – you read these for those

12:41 longer pause –

18:39 See Justice Manual S 9-27.000 et seq 2018 - you read and following for et seq

19:59 See United states v. Internet Research Agency, et al., - you read ‘and others’ for et al

20:27 See United States v. Netysho, et all., you read ‘and others’ for et al

22:00 Inter alia - - among other things –for inter alia

If you're going to fix one fix all -

Craig

Thank you both for such thorough PL-ing! It's really important to me to get this right and I appreciate your help with that.
I think I got all the updates and Exec Summary from Vol. 1 is now re-uploaded. New time is 26:16.

Also, Exec Summary from volume 2 is uploaded:

Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election, Executive Summary, Vol. 2 by Robert S. Mueller III

https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/snf065_execsumm2_mueller_cm_128kb.mp3

text: https://www.justice.gov/storage/report.pdf

25:10

BTW I saw that the full Mueller report project has the name indexed just as Robert Mueller but I read his full name as it appears on the title page of the PDF - should I change it to be consistent with the indexing?

Thanks!
Colleen

Thank you, Colleen! :) Craig and I will both PL section 2. You are correct in reading Mueller's name as it appears on the title page! :)

Craig, Once you have reviewed Colleen's corrections, I'll leave it up to you to mark section #1 PL OK. There were mighty few corrections to begin with--as Colleen, you, basically, did a great job on part #1.

Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election, Executive Summary, Vol. 1

Thanks for the corrections Colleen.

I listened to the beginning of vol 2 and noted that you added March 2019 but that date is not on volume 1 at the beginning or end.

The rest of the corrections are all correct

Craig

Happy Easter :D
