Farrah, i hope the bug is out of the system because i could now sign you up  your personal catalog page is here https://librivox.org/reader/13266

One little thing, how long is the recording (mm.ss)? Please remember to always post the duration of a recording when you post a link so that i can update the magic window :) thank you!

Thank you so much for PLing my inaugural upload, and for the positive feedback.

As per your instructions, I've made the following adjustments:
* Using Audacity, I've run Amplification on the clip at a setting of 4.6.
* I've added 5 seconds of silence at the end of the clip.
* Filename has been corrected to read: pets_02_swisshelm_128k.mp3

I have reloaded the clip to the LibriVox server, and here is the new link:
https://librivox.org/uploads/carolin/pets_02_swisshelm_128k.mp3

New running time: 4:56

Apologizing in advance if the clip is still not right. But thanks again for your help, and I look forward to getting it right and doing a lot more.

Cheers,
John Patrick Henry
Sorry for the late recheck, but this is perfectly correct now!
Thanks for the delightful reading.

I hope to hear much more of your great reading here on LibriVox! :D

Here's a link to chapter 13. Do let me know if I need to make any changes.

Overall, a good recording. There are some places with noise, probably brushing against the mike or something. I think you may have it a little too close.

There are, however, two small things to change.

1). The opening silence needs to be only one second or less, so just trim it. (You can clip out the sound that is there).

2.) The closing silence needs to be about 5 seconds, and yours is only 3. Plus there is a very loud hum at the beginning of that and then a loud click at the end, so those should be eliminated.

Just make those two adjustments, then upload it again with the same file name, and then post again here with your new file length. It is currently 9:09.

Carolin,

I just want to give you a heads up that I won't begin this project for another week or so. The reason is that I got a bad cold after signing up, so don't want to use my voice while my throat is still irritated. I expect that it will go quickly once I start, but if you're concerned about the timeline, let me know.

Thanks,

Allan
