I just realized about an hour ago that I mistyped your name in my last post. :oops: It was unintentional, although it appeared I was carrying on the joke. :)
That's totally alright Don, I took it as a joke... whether you meant it as a joke or not, I still thought it was funny :lol: <laughing> (and then I called you Donovan thinking we were still carrying on the joke) :lol: <laughing>

Hello Don,
I have a really bad cold right now, so I am unable to record. Very sorry. The weekend was busy as well, and I couldn't find time to record. :( <sadface>

No worries Elijah. I'll be here when you're ready. I've had the same challenge the last few weeks with a head/chest cold keeping me from recording also. It's that time of the year. <shrug>

I did Elijah, and left a post there also. LibriVox should be the least of your worries for now, as you and your family come first in priority. No worries about when you get back to recording and PLing, unless you find, as some do, that LV can relieve stress for awhile in some chaotic situations. When you're ready, I be here and happy to continue DPLing for you.

My best wishes that everything turns out OK.

I think I can find my own escape time to record, hopefully.

Hi Elijah,

Yes, over 70 sections would have been a shock for me. :D

Section 4 PL notes:

@00:00: There are about 10.5 seconds of silence at the beginning of the file (including some clicking), rather than the .5 to 1 second needed. Could you cut off about 9.5 seconds from the beginning?

@03:01:
Text - "All now was reversed."
Heard - "All now was reserved."

@04:09:
Text - "… he was directed to repair to Logstown…"
Heard - "… he was directed to repair the Logstown …"

@05:01:
Text - "… to acquaint himself with the numbers and force of the French stationed …"
Heard - "… to acquaint himself with the numbers and force of the English stationed …"

@06:02:
Text - "… engaged to accompany and pilot him in the present expedition."
Heard - "… engaged to accompany the pilot him in the present expedition."

@06:45:
Text - " … writes he in his journal;"
Heard - "… writes he in his journey;"

Each of the above was the difference of a single word, but I thought in each case it changed the author's intent. See what you think.

Technical specs:
The MP3 file was saved at a sample rate of 32.0 KHz, rather than 44.1 KHz. Please save the updated file at 44.1KHz.

Overall a good job on this section with all its Indian and French names and places. :thumbs:

Ahh. I was having some trouble with the noise reduction on the file, and my normal process is to leave 10 seconds of silence at the start of the recording in order to get the noise. But I having trouble with it, so I went further on down in the recording to pick up a smaller chuck of noise and forgot to remove the 9.5 seconds :shock: And then at the end of the recording, I usually change it all into 44,100 Khz before I save it, but my whole process seemed to be out of whack :lol: <laughing>

I'll see what I can do with the other PL notes, thank you so much Don! :D <smile>
