hmm yes you got rid of the background noise, but the sound is a bit tinnier than what I got. Strange, since you used the same numbers. :hmm: Did you only run the cleaning once or twice ?

Well, I would think it will do though and your test phase is acomplished. You can go ahead with recording your first official section. I see you wanted to read "At midnight" but please note that this section was already claimed by another reader. In the first post in the Magic Window you can see which sections are still OPEN (in the final column). Only those are available. Maybe you find another one that interests you ? If you really like to read At midnight, you can also offer it to the Monthly Poetry Collection, only then you need to read a different LV intro and use a different file-name.

Maybe take care to use the quietest spot in the house to record ;)
As for the site, it's not anything specific. I find the sheer volume of information overwhelming.

ok yes the best thing is to take it easy. Check out one subforum at a time. For now you are in the short story and poetry forum, it's a good starting point, as the sections to record are shorter to record and edit. From here you may move onto the Book forum, where you can choose longer chapters from a novel or non-fiction book. Then if you are into "acting out", you can check out the drama forum where you can play a part in a stage play or dramatic reading. And if you speak other languages than English, you can also check out the foreign language forum. These 4 subforums are the main parts where the recording gets organised. If you check them out one at a time, it won't be so overwhelming anymore.

Good luck with your first section !!

Hello again,
Sections 101 & 106 are now edited and posted.
Amazes me how I did see the sections instructions to not read the roman numerals, yet I did anyway.
Foolish of me and I do apologize for that.

1 and 4 are PL OK.

16:

0:09, 1:10: As it says in the first post: "NOTE: Do not read the Roman numerals."

There just a little too much background noise. Try running some noise cleaning.
74, 75 and 77 are PL OK.

76:

2:36: 'Dryades' and 'Naiades' in 'Pan, the Satyrs, Dryades, Fountain-lovely Naiades' should be pronounced 'DRY-uh-deez' and 'NEY-uh-deez'. I wouldn't normally point out pronuncation, but I think correct rhyming takes precedent in poetry.
