Hi Phil,

Yes, David is just taking a well-deserved break. I think he is doing some home renovations.

Funny story... when he said he needed a short break, I thought, "Oh yeah, I used to do the weekly poetry before David took it over. I could cover it for a week." I then remembered that David took it over from me when my daughter was born... and she is turning 10 this month! David has been doing our weekly poetry for 10 years. He deserves a medal!

Hi Michele,
You're good - it's only Saturday. The deadline is always included in the top post.

I know. I tried squeezing one in last week on Sunday. It hadn't officially closed yet, but didn't make the deadine. :?

I just realized that was David's project, not yours.

Yeah, there is a difference between the deadline and when the project is marked complete. Once the deadline has passed, the MC will start the cataloging process, which involves uploading everything to archive.org and waiting for it to derive multiple different file types. I've seen this take anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 days. Then, only once all of that is finished will we mark the project complete. So whether it's marked complete or not is really meaningless in terms of submitting files. For submitting files, the project is "officially closed" at the deadline.

So, for all practical purposes, and consulting my husband who knows a great many things astronomical, I who live in the CST zone, need to submit my poems by midnight Saturday night to make the GMT 6 a.m. deadline. That is easy enough to remember. :D
