Well done! This was a long one, and especially challenging with all of those numbers towards the end. You did a great job with it. PL ok!drandall wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2019, 12:04 pm Section 31: Topic 9, First Paper, by Booker T. Washington

Thank you, Phyllis. Well done. No corrections needed, but you'll want to watch your volume. This was a little bit loud at 92.3 dB, just outside of the acceptable range of 86-92. Turning down your microphone just a smidge should fix this for future recordings. Running your files through Checker before uploading them is also a good idea. Don't worry about it for this section. I went ahead and de-amplified it a bit and re-uploaded it for you, since there was nothing else to change.PhyllisV wrote: ↑March 7th, 2019, 11:26 am Section 3:

Yee Gods!!!
Browsing the foregoing messages I see that I recorded and uploaded Section 4 which was already assigned to and done by another recorder. Sorry about that. I will proceed to record Section 6. I have also said I would like to claim Sections 12, 12 and 14.

Oh no! I hate that you spent all that time on the wrong section!Shasta wrote: ↑March 13th, 2019, 2:10 pm Yee Gods!!!

The bright spot here is that the other reader's file was not overwritten, because you actually used the wrong file name. The sections numbers need to have three digits, since there are 100 sections. When I PL your section 5, I'll let you know if there are other changes to be made. If so, it would be nice to reupload with the correct file name. If not, we can fix the numbering during cataloguing. (And by we, I mean MaryAnn! ) Stay tuned!
I'll also go ahead and assign 12-14 to you.

Wait, Shasta, hold that thought! I just listened to the intros for each of these that you uploaded, and it sounds like you did read sections 5 and 6. However, you numbered these sections 4 and 5. So I think we're all good there, it's just that the file names are off. I'm updating the MW now.
I will renumber and re-post the two misnumbered files. But before I do, I need to know whether I erred with respect to the author's name in the introduction. For authors, I have recorded the names of the papers, not the name of the author of the book, i.e., Culp. I suspect that that was an error. Please let me know, one way or the other.
