Praise received for TriciaG (TriciaG) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

I have just finished listening to Esther Reid (by Pansy), read by you. Thank you so very much. I have a neurological disease and am unable to read paragraphs let alone a book. This story stirred me, inspired me, and brought me joy. Thank you again for your gift of reading.

Praise received for RuthieG (Ruth Golding) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

Dear Ms Golding

You are magnificent! You are the best!

English is my second language. I have read many English novels but I have
never enjoyed one as much as I have, reading "Women in love" and listening
to you at the same time. It was simply a marvellous experience for me. You
have made all the characters come to life for me like never before. It is
better than watching a movie! I have nearly finished the book and I think I
ll listen to you reading it one more time. Or, maybe, I listen to you
reading another book and, perhaps, all your Librivox readings!

It is so generous of you to be a volunteer Librivox reader. I thank you from
the bottom of my heart.

Best regards
Vincent

Praise received for MARTIN GEESON (Martin Geeson) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:
Dear Mr. Geeson,

Perhaps I ought not to be formal, but in this age of informality ad nauseum, it might bring you a hint of a pleasing whiff from a rigid but a rollicking time.

My thanks to you for your wonderful rendition of those few chapters of "Gargantua and Pantagruel" which I read many summers ago, but enjoyed immensly more on listening to you. I wish you've read the whole book.

Once again, many thanks, and I do look forward to listening to many more works you have made come alive.

Wish best wishes,

All of Martin's recordings!

Praise received for Leesma (Lee Smalley) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:
In December I took an extended trip to the Southwest and downloaded several Librivox books.

In that I was camping for most of the trip and in that nights are long that time of the year the opportunity to listen to The Bishop’s Apron to help pass time during dark evenings was most welcome indeed.

Lee Smalley does a marvelous job and it was truly a pleasure to listen to his voice during those hours of darkness.

Thank you!

Praise received for philchenevert (Phil Chenevert) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

Hi ,

I would like to thank Phil Chenevert for his reading of The
Autobiography of St. Ignatius Loyola's autobiography:
https://librivox.org/the-autobiography-of-st-ignatius-by-st-ignatius-loyola/

One of the most beautiful aspects of life is the opportunity for
vicarious experience through literature. I'm grateful for your recording
of this autobiography, making a centuries-old classic accessible to a
new generation. Your delivery blends the timeless wisdom from classical
literature with an enthusiastic encouragement to the reader to apply it
in daily life. I am confident that this is exactly as the author intended.

I continue seeking to grow, integrating those truths in my life. On the
journey, I have been so blessed with guidance from literature. With the
dedicated volunteers of Librivox, we now have a new audio library for
entertainment, education and inspiration.

I wish you every success in your future endeavours.

Yours sincerely,
Barry

and...

Dear Phil,

Your narration and selection of old science fiction has filled my car and many of my walks to work with joy. You’ve made commuting in Los Angeles bearable, and that’s no easy feat.

Thank you for everything you’ve read, are reading, and are planning to read.

A fan.

-Aaron

Praise received for earthcalling (David Barnes) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

Dear Mr. Barnes

I’ve just finished to listen to your reading of “The Canterville Ghost” by Oscar Wilde. I feel I do have to thank you for your perfect, and clean, and heartfelt reading. I’m Italian, I live in Italy and for me it’s very important to keep myself trained in listening, if I want to improve with a foreign Language. As I drive a lot because of my job, listening to audiobooks is a very good way to enjoy all that time. So I should say that in these last days you’ve been my favorite travel companion!

I’m also very grateful to Librivox and its efforts to share culture and literature.

I beg you to forgive my bad English.

Again, many compliments to all of you and specially to Mr. David Barnes.

Best Regards

Giancarlo

Praise received for Penumbra (Tom Penn) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:

I don’t usually listen to the type of stories you read but my curiosity was aroused by the title, ‘Curlie Carson listens in’. I enjoyed your reading so much that I looked for other stories read by you and have enjoyed the pure escapism. I hope you will read ‘On the Yukon Trail’, for us soon. :D
