COMPLETE [ESSAYS] Twentieth Century Negro Literature-mas
Hi there,
I would also like to claim Section 89 Topic 27, by H. E. Baker.
When reading the list should I say, " Inventor. Abrams, W. B." "Invention. Hame Attachment" "Date. Apr, 14, 1891." "Number. 450,550", and continue in that same manner with the rest of the inventors? Also, with the blank form diagram shown at the bottom of the letter by the Commissioner of Patents, do I read that?
Thanks

89 is yours. Let me take a look at that list again and get back to you. I remember looking at it when I first set up this book, but I don't recall how I wanted that to be read.Tivia wrote: ↑January 14th, 2019, 10:05 am Hi there,

Ok, so for the blank diagram, yes, go ahead and read that. The letter itself, I think, is enough context for people to understand what it is. So read the letter, then "Name" (pause) "Number" (pause) "Date" (pause) "Invention" (pause) Then continue with the next paragraph. They don't have to be long pauses, just enough to convey the idea of a fill-in-the-blank kind of thing.
For the list (which I know is super long, and I applaud your bravery in being willing to tackle it), omit the number, but include everything else. So it will start out: "Abrams, W. B. Hame Attachment. Apr, 14, 1891. Allen, C. W. Self-Leveling Table Nov. 1, 1898. Allen, J. B. Clothes Line Support Dec. 10, 1895." And so forth.
Does that help?

Hey there,
Yes, thank you it does help! Bless you for saying that I can omit the numbers, while I was willingly to say them it didn't hold that much of an interest for me. I don't know why, but I snickered at this, "which I know is super long, and I applaud your bravery in being willing to tackle it" . I find the list to be very interesting and it's educating me so I don't mind it at all.
Thanks

Oh, I'm terribly sorry! I must have completely missed it! If that happens again, please don't hesitate to give me a nudge. Don't feel like you're nagging!
That being said, I won't be able to PL or even update the MW for a little while yet. I have to work this afternoon. But if you don't see your section in the MW within 24 hours, please remind me again!
