Thanks again! :-)

Considering the trouble I had getting through that particular chapter, I'm actually surprised I didn't make more mistakes.

Anyway, the file has been re-uploaded. Appreciate the help.

Sorry this took so long to finish. I've been a little under the weather lately and have had trouble recording anything without hacking my lungs out halfway through.

Adolph's prose continues to befuddle me: bizarre syntax, made-up words, and nonsensical dialogue. Sometimes I feel like I'm reading something in a foreign language. Hilariously, this was supposed to be my "short, easy" project -- and yet here we are!

Chapters 4 and 5 are PL OK.
Chapter 6 is, except for the volume coming in at only 84.6 dB, do you may want to amp that one up.

No rush, of course. The last 2 (or 3?) sections are so long and bizarrely written, I doubt I'll get them done anytime soon. I'm going to try to keep all of Chapter 9 as a single audio file, but might have to break it up if it exceeds the 70 minute mark.

Thanks! I'll fix the volume as soon as I get a chance!

Chapter 6 has been re-uploaded and Chapter 7 is up.

A quick note: I recorded Chapter 7 early this morning and worry now that I sound a little congested (guess who has terrible allergies?). Would you mind telling me if this is unlistenable or unpleasant? It's a really short chapter and would be no problem to redo... but then again, I'm usually my toughest critic with these things. Thanks as always!

6 and 7 are both PL OK.
Did not notice the congestion at all . . . . :D

I apologize in advance for making you listen to this. This chapter was a BEAST.

I'm also mulling over whether I should break up Chapter 9 into two parts. It clocks in at around 8800+ words and would easily reach over 80 minutes... so yeah, I'll probably break it in two. But we'll see.

Well, I think you have tamed the BEAST!

Thanks Larry! :-)

Here's the first part of Chapter 9... and look, I know this is a weird, silly book where weird, silly things happen with shocking regularity... but this chapter takes some really strange turns. One part near the end actually made me guffaw out loud.

I'm gonna try really hard to finish this up over the week, but no promises. I've recorded the first 15 minutes of the next chapter, but the writing in this section gets unbelievably opaque and tongue-shatteringly strange; I'm having getting through it on a sentence-by-sentence level. So -- many -- stumbles. I've had to start over from scratch three times already because of my inability to figure out what Adolph is even trying to say at times.

I really want to do an easy project next... something really short and simple. I might spend the rest of the night looking for something that fits that description.

Ooops, I forgot that I cannot mark this one PL OK yet.
The volume is way too low coming in at only 81.3 dB.
Sorry.
