May i request that you use text sources that state the publishing year, or gutenberg.org? Like this one http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/4366
We trust gutenberg to have done their homework when it comes to public domain, though they have some (very few) non pd works in their catalog (This is stated right at the start of the text in these cases). Also archive.org is a great resource because the scanned pages will generally state the year. Thank you!

Your breathing doesn't bother me - it sounds natural. To lower its volume I would recommend to increase the distance to the micro and not to speak directly into the micro. Or helpful maybe is a pop shield.smturner639 wrote: ↑January 5th, 2019, 6:28 pm Hello,
I'd like to take a chapter. Here is the information and recording for review I've been recovering from a cough and am worried it's a little breathy, but couldn't figure out how to adjust that without losing the overall sound. Please let me know if you feel adjustments are needed and have any suggestions!

The overall volume of your file is too low - +4,5 db would be perfect! But attention: At the end of your reading you're voice is getting louder. You can equal the complete file by compressing it. If you use Audacity you can do this with standard adjustments: just compressing and after that increase (or lower) the volume up to 89 db. Then you reach the finish line with a perfect file and a perfect reading

Overall volume is 2.3 db above the ideal line of 89 db and +/- 2 db are accepted - so I don't know exactly if I should remind a runaway of 0.3 dbBoomcoach wrote: ↑February 8th, 2019, 5:15 amGreat! I have uploaded it:
