Carolyn,
I believe that i have uploaded my first submission correctly. This is not only my first of this assignment, but for any work of this nature. Please provide feedback and any modifications needed. Subsequent chapters 2-5 should be submitted in the next few weeks. Had some family and technology challenges that slowed me down in Dec/Jan.

Hi Simon,
I am the Dedicated Proof Listener (DPL) for this project. I listen to the files and identify any issues with the file like strange noises that missed being edited out, missing sentences and making sure the intro and outro are recorded as in the first post.
Between 4:00 and 4:30 I heard some microphone noises that I didn't hear in the rest of the file. Happens to most of us sometime.
The file name is a bit off. See the first post for directions. It should be: fallenleaves_03_collins_128kb.mp3 (10:11)-- the 03 reflecting the section number in the far left column. It is also really helpful if you post the time/length of the file along with the name after you have uploaded the file. This gives me an idea of how much time to allow for proof listening and Carolin can be sure she has the whole file when she does her "admin" magic to turn this all into a finished product. You have a nice voice to listen to, glad you are part of the team.
Carolin, I just happened to find this and gave it a listen before you got to enter it in the Magic Window. Maybe you have some suggestions for cleaning the microphone noises?

Thank you,

As linda already wrote above, two little things are off. The file name has to include the section number as in the magic window (in this case 03). Also, please remember to always post the duration of a recording when you post a link so that i can update the magic window thank you!
Carolin
Sadly I'm myself not a hero when it comes to editing usually these noises are easier to avoid than to clean later. If the noise is not too distracting id say it is ok to leave it as is, and try to avoid it in future recordings
