Hi Little Peanut (or SweetHome, whoever is managing this account :D) Welcome to LibriVox! Sounds like you're having a lot of fun here! And your voice sounds so nice reading these poems, especially since they are intended for children!

Section 13 is PL OK!

For section 15, only one thing needs to be changed. At the end of the recording it is required to have 5 seconds of silence, currently it is about at 2.
This next thing is a word of caution. Make sure since you are using another's microphone set up that you check the volume carefully, since everybody speaks at a different volume. This one was ok, but was on the high end and can't go too much louder. Nothing needs to be changed here, just something to look out for in the future in case the volume changes too much :D.

Looking forward to hearing your other sections!

I just signed up my young daughter to volunteer, as she was wanting to read one of these poems. I gave her section 13 to read. I will log in as her to give the link. Since she is using my microphone/computer set up, I did not have her do a 1-minute test - let me know if this is okay.
Chapters 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 12 are PL OK !

Chapter 8 notes: 1:39 - extra 'he'

Chapter 10 notes: 0:09 - heard 'one', text says 'ones' (if you can't tell, I'm a bit more picky with poetry, still don't mention every little word change, only when I think it's important :D)
0:49 - heard 'bloom', text says 'bloomy'

Chapter 11 notes - The volume is at 92.4 decibels, with the limit being 86-92.
0:24 - heard 'do', text says 'don't'

Hello Joseph!

From your post count I can see you are fairly new to LibriVox. Hope you are enjoying your time :D. Unfortunately there are a few things that need to be fixed with this chapter.

First of all, you have an extra .mp3 on the end of your url that should be removed. I don't know what software you use, but it could be that if you manually enter the mp3 extension it will add an extra one.

Secondly, your volume is much too quiet. Your current volume is at 73.1 db, while we require a range of 86-92 db, with 89 being the ideal volume. If you could amplify this to the desired volume that would be great (just a word of warning, you may find that your background noise is also amplified. If so, you may want to run noise reduction on it), :D For future reference, I strongly suggest, if you haven't already, downloading the program Checker ( see here) or Replay Gain (see here). These will show you exactly where you're at.

Now to the actual text:

I notice at the beginning that the beginning silence is a bit over 1 second. We ask that you keep this to no more than 0.5 to 1 second, so if you could cut that down it would be great :D.

0:18 - extra word 'the'

0:29 - heard 'these things we'll carry', text says 'and these we'll carry'

One other thing I noticed is that towards the ends of your sentences your voice got very quiet, almost hard to hear. Nothing needs to be changed here, especially since you will be amplifying it, just something to keep your ears out for in the future :D.

Once you correct these issues and reload I'll take another listen! Feel free to ask for help if you don't understand how to fix something.

I loved your energy and adventure in your voice and can't wait to hear more from you :D

Hi Elisabeth! Welcome to LibriVox! Pretty great for a first recording ! Only one note:

Your volume is a bit low. It is currently at 85.1 dbs, LibriVox asks for a volume of 86-92 dbs with 89 being the preferred value. So if you amplify it by around 4 dbs you should be right about perfect. When you amplify, watch out for background noise. You may find that you want to clean it up a bit using the noise reduction tool. Once you upload it again I can listen again.

Your voice was nice, smooth, and easy to listen to! Can't wait to hear more! :D
