Thanks, Ken! These are PL OK now. And seamless editing: I can never get my voice to sound the same, even if my settings and everything are identical from session to session.MajorToast wrote: ↑January 22nd, 2019, 9:47 am https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/amendsforladies_loveall_1.mp3

I hope these corrections satisfy, and thank you. Ken (MT)

Just checking in to let you know I haven't forgotten about this . . . well, almost, but I have all of Ingen recorded and will have it edited an in soon.
On the road again, so delays are possible

Here is Ingen Act 1. I hope to get the rest edited this evening, but wanted to get at least this first one turned in.

I have rerecorded Subtle act 5 as I realised that I had used a completely different voice to the previous acts. I hope it is now more similar. I hope that you have not PLed it yet.

Hi Alan, Larry,
I only managed to edit the first act over the weekend. I was planning to PL your files while editing, but as it might take me another couple of weekends to finish editing I thought it best to PL your files now. Here are the notes.
I will carry on editing, so it would work best for me if you uploaded your fixes as new files (with "fix" instead of the act number in the filename). Thanks!
As usual, I am restricting fixes to lines where the meaning is altered.
Ingen
Act 1
First line: you say "The Perfect Lady and the Lady Bright", but it should be "The Lady Perfect and the Lady Bright"
1.07 Could you read this one again: "Must love needs be powdered, Lie steeped in brine, or will it not keep sweet?"
Act 2
00.30 You say "hast thou dwelt long With my fair mistress?" but it is "thy fair mistress".
Act 3
01.30 The line is "A man, no woman, that hath gull'd the world" but I think I hear "gilded" instead of "gulled".
02.10 I hear "the love of grief" instead of "the love or grief".
Act 4
First line: The line is "and my land, And what I else possess" but I hear "my hand" instead of "my land".
01.00 It should start "For what hap..." but I hear "But what hap..."
Act 5
00.40 "before God and man She was my wife": I hear "she IS my wife".
Subtle
Act 5
03.50 The bit of Latin was missing: "Cætera quis nescit? lassi requievimus ambo: Proveniant medii sic mihi sæpe dies"
04.45 I hear "Oh, oh, you are catched" instead of "Oh, oh, are you catched?" This is a borderline fix, but since I am asking for other stuff...
The last few lines are missing too, starting at Scene II:
"He has fetch'd her again with coughing."
"And when the parson came to her, she turned
Away, and still let the physician hold
Her by the hand."
"How now?!"
"I'll not meddle with you, sir."

dramatis personae are PL ok. I would only note that you start rather abruptly in the beginning.RobMarland wrote: ↑February 17th, 2019, 11:06 amDP for PL https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/amendsforladies_00_field_128kb.mp3
Will try to listen to Act 1 soon
Sonia
a wonderful start of the play really all are excellent players for their selected roles and the editing together is very craftily done.RobMarland wrote: ↑February 17th, 2019, 11:06 amAct 1 for PL https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/amendsforladies_01_field_128kb.mp3

I would only have one note for a small editor's cutting (and I also note down Larry's two lines, so I can find them better back later in Spot PL)
> at 4:41: "The Lady Perfect and the Lady Bright"
> at 4:44: "Meeting the Wife and Widow" - you can cut out "Ingen", as it's in the middle of his speech
> at 5:46: "Must love needs be powdered, Lie steeped in brine, or will it not keep sweet?" - "powdered" instead of "powered"
great job, Rob
