Sections 21 and 22 here have the same problems that section 3 in the Feminism in Greek Literature project had the first time you recorded: the volume is really low, and there are plosives. I listened to the first few minutes of each, but, since in the other project you preferred to re-record the whole thing, I decided to ask you what you prefer. If you wish to re-record (even though I think it is a lot of work!) I would PL the new sections. If you would rather fix these, I can PL taking down notes on the mm:ss where plosives are bad so you could just substitute the sentences. In any case, amplification is needed. So, just let me know which you prefer. I am sure either way will be fine, your reading voice is very agreeable, and the new section recorded in the other project was pretty much perfect!

I just listened to the beginnings again and it seems like almost every sentence has plosives So I will probably redo them both with the new set up I've figured out!

PLing of section 15:JoanWindle wrote: ↑January 30th, 2019, 8:14 pm Here is Section 15: Chapter 15, The Exploits of Captain Avery

At 0:25/26 - Repeat "If the 16th"
At 0:41 - Stumble "remunerative"
At 4:38 - Pause/hesitation
At 12:00 - There has been some change in the setup, and from that point on there are plosives here and there
At 15:33 - Repeat "They were strangers in that land"
At 18:18 - Stumble "subsist"
The author REALLY dislikes the 18th century, doesn't he?
