Yes, the original files on my work computer were still ok. Only the copies on the flash drive were messed up. I am now even sorry I deleted those pieces of computer-generated art...

thank you, Alan for this excellent performance as muezzin although I had a bit of mixed feelings when I heard this, as the muezzin was the cause for many an interrupted sleep during my travels through Turkey. There always seemed to have been a minaret close by our hotel somehow.

Having worked in the Middle East and become familiar with call to prayer I tried to reproduce the sound and intonation of the real thing even though I was saying it in English. Sorry if it brought back bad memories.

Here are Sections 7 and 9:

more warfare, although I must say the thought of two enemy armies fleeing simultaneously from one another was strangely entertaining The Tartar spies must not have been up to their task or they would have noticed the retreat of the Russians and given the counsel to cross the river. Who knows how history would have been changed then.

phew, this section where they sought shelter in the Hagia Sophia, trusting on divine help, and then got taken prisoner, was very tragic to listen to

Both sections beautifully read, despite the gruesome topic. Section 91 is already PL ok.

thank you, Foon. All 4 beautifully narrated and very interesting to listen to. I especially liked the Magyar poems.

When they mentioned the "current" czar in the historical note, I was reminded that the book was from 1914, and this was only shortly before the Russian Revolution which cost this same czar his life. To think that the editor had no idea about this fact when she compiled the book....

Sections 36, 77 and 106 are already PL ok.
