Yup, large Roman numerals are tricky. In fact, even numbers written in Arabic numerals used in a text written in any language other than Polish give me a momentary pause while reading.commonsparrow3 wrote: ↑December 29th, 2018, 9:39 pm Nothing stops a sentence in its tracks quite like an unexpected outcropping of roman numerals:

A scottish skeptic scoffed at a scruffy scribe in a skimpy skirt
sketching a skillfull sculpture scowling at a scared squirrel.

I've shared this kind of thing before, but it gets me every time.
https://librivox.org/uploads/bloopers/rochfoucault_whatisthatname_blooper.mp3
And this is one that I thought I'd scanned in advance for things like this!
EDIT: Hold the phone! I uploaded the wrong thing! No wonder it took forever to upload.....
Edit again: Fixed it.

I've discovered that I'm not a fan of Hemingway's punctuation (or lack thereof). And yes, I have been know to talk to dead authors!

Ok, so this is my first blooper contribution, hope I'm doing it right.
Anyways, these bloopers were part of a short 2 minute poem. I had as many bloopers to edit out as there was time. I have included two of my favorites in the same upload (with a few seconds in between)
The first one was when I was trying to say 'bivouac'. Background: I often mess around when googling pronunciations. I was checking to see whether I had edited out all of my blundering about when I found this.
Second one is when I was trying to say 'howe’er'! Who knew a missing letter could cause so much trouble!

Those are pretty good! If it helps, I usually hear "howe'er" pronounced as "how-AIR."lymiewithpurpose wrote: ↑February 4th, 2019, 4:23 pm Ok, so this is my first blooper contribution, hope I'm doing it right.
