That's terrific, Dean. I'm certainly enjoying it.
You'll find that Section 25 has now been allotted to you in the MW (Magic Window). If you happen to be unfamiliar with the pronunciation of any aboriginal place names in SEQld, you could consult: https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/land/title/place-names/naming/history
And, of course, you can ask me (I'm a local).
Off you go!

I had a couple of names I was unsure of:
@ 4:54 - Bunya Bunya
@ 12:04 to about 12:15 there are three names, Murrki, Kebi, and Parpunyi.
Please let me know if I have mispronounced these and I'll fix them!
Regards,
Dean

Nice voice! I do know that the first syllable of "Bunya" is pronounced like the bakery item around here (just for future reference, don't bother changing it). As for the proper names of various individual aborigines - I don't think anybody who wasn't a Turball speaker (if there are any left) would know.Lufhat wrote: ↑February 1st, 2019, 11:05 pm Hi,

It all sounded good. I wouldn't change anything. We've got to wait for our PL now.

Sections 25 and 26 PL notes
The chapters need to be loaded into the MW before they are "PL ready"
Barbara - I am thinking you are the BC on this??
So, what usually happens is the BC loads the chapter files in to the MW, then turns on the PL Ready note.
I think I have been doing that, but not sure I am supposed to unless someone tells me to.
I can do that part if there is some reason the MW cannot.

Thanks Cheryl, I didn't realise I had to do it for Dean's files too. I hope I've got my head around that bit of being a BC now All advice appreciated.cherylstewart wrote: ↑February 2nd, 2019, 12:37 pm

Hi
I can do sections 11,12, 13,14 and 15
if ok, I have a question:
In those chapters where there is only a part 1, does the reader still have to say it?

Hi Rita, I'm glad you are joining the project. Sections 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 have been assigned to you.RitaBoutros wrote: ↑February 21st, 2019, 9:00 am Hi

I could be misunderstanding your question. If it helps: the book was published in two parts, each having its chapters numbered from Chapter 1...2....3.... etc. So this is the instruction in the Magic Window:
"Section [number] of Tom Petrie's reminiscences of early Queensland . This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org"
If you wish, say: "Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
Say:
"Tom Petrie's reminiscences of early Queensland . Part [number] Chapter [number]"
END of recording
At the end of the section, say:
"End of Part [number] Chapter [number]"
Best,
Barbara
