Hi Jim,
Congratulations on a job well done! I've just marked Vol. 3 Section 45, Letter #60 PL Okay, and unless you see anything else, I believe I'm finished with your sections. The project is moving along--thanks for your contributions!
Best regards, Lora

I'm not sure if you are asking this of a specific person, or all of us, but so far I do like it, very much! I haven't been reading the whole story so far, mostly just my own letters, and little pieces of some of the others. I don't agree with all of the little moral arguments that Fanny makes, but it fits her character and the time period. I'm looking forward to finishing this book so that I can listen to the whole thing in order.
I asked everybody, because I am curious to hear. You invest so much time recording that I wanted to know.
Love gothic novels? Try Children Of The Abbey. Like surprising mysteries? Try The Amathist Cross. Looking for an easy read? Try Harriet's Choice.

For the letters that I have already recorded I am definitely enjoying the book so far! It is an interesting way of writing a book by letters back and forth between people. Also it is a place in time where things were very formal and for women they are treated very differently than they are done today - more as objects than as equals it seems.

I am not sure if anyone answered this for you or not - 92.4 and 92.6 dB are above the 3 dB variance on 89 dB (or range as Checker calls it) so when I get volumes of that level when I am PL'ing I do ask the person to reduce the volume closer to 89 dB and resubmit the recording.ADKreader1122 wrote: ↑February 1st, 2019, 10:55 am Hi David and Miss Stav,
If the volume of a recording goes through Checker and it's high (92.4 dB and 92.6 dB), does the reader need to decrease it or can editing take care of it? Thanks--I'm too new to know all the technical details. Lora

Hi there!ADKreader1122 wrote: ↑January 30th, 2019, 5:37 pm Hi Lynda--
Vol. 1, Section 7, Letter #11 is PL Okay, and #12 is okay until the very end (13:57) where I think it should be "End of letters 11 and 12, not 10-12. Please check me on this--thanks. Lora
Here is Section 7 with the correct Ending

Thanks, Lynda, for the corrected ending and for the information about the volume. I did think it was too high and will ask the reader to decrease it. Lora

To ivanyuan,
Here is a summary of corrections for your recordings, when you have a chance to review them:
Section 19, Letter 25--at 5:31 please use "Yours most truly"
Section 29, Letter 37--volume needs to be decreased from 92.4 dB to between 86-92 dB with the target being 89 dB
Section 42, Letter 55--at 2:54 the word should be sufferings in the phrase "my sorrow for her sufferings."
Section 57, Letter 75--volume needs to be decreased from 92.6 dB to between 86-92 dB with the target being 89 dB
Thanks-please let us know if you have any questions.

Hi David and Miss Stav,
I went ahead and did the PL for Lynda's latest recordings and marked them in the MW. They will need to be uploaded to the MW when someone has a chance. Thanks, Lora

Lynda,
Vol. 3, Section 46, Letter #61 is PL Okay. For Vol.3, Section 52, Letter #67, at :38-- I think the LXII should be read as 62, not 42.
Thank you! Lora
