14 reloaded with "his" added in. I concur, it changes the meaning enough to mention it.

As to tyrants, some people (especially the proud and the free) are harder to subjugate than others, but those who carry great big sticks wrapped in barbed wire and aren't afraid to use them can tyrannize most anybody . . . . . for awhile, anyway. (I'm thinking "Lucille", in the Walking Dead, up against which even Rick Grimes cowered.)

Whelp! I can't add much to that. *Smile* Modern Day Eloquence, complete with allusions!

Your rendition of Frienship is particularly good here; there's what I'll call mid-energy (neither a gentle tide nor the Conflagration of Passion) that is tonally appropriate and interesting to listen to.
This is as visiting that small segment of my life, at 18 years old, when I first read this book.

You are doing Gibran justice here, Michele!

All PL Ok with Chapters 20-23.
Smoothly read!

This, I believe, is one of the most lovely lines in the book:

"And that that which sings and contemplates in you is still dwelling within the bounds of that first moment which scattered the stars into space."

Pleased to be even a smal part of your rendition, Michele.

Chapters 24, 25, and 26 are uploaded:

https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/prophet_25_gibran_128kb.mp3 2:49
https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/prophet_26_gibran_128kb.mp3 2:28

Indeed there are lots of lovely lines throughout this book. One of my favorite word pictures is his portrayal of "the temple invisible".

"When you pray you rise to meet in the air those who are praying at that very hour,
and whom save in prayer you may not meet.
Therefore let your visit to that temple invisible be for naught but ecstasy and sweet communion."

This is fine art. And this I believe explains his ethereal drawings of pillow people swooping around in the heavens. It's their spirits!

Glad to have you swooping along with me on this project! :D

All PL Ok here!
Yes, high literature here, on a Universal level.

Pleased to meet you here in the aether. *wink*
Amazing that we've come so far in such a short time. Only TWO more sections to go?

And to it we shall soar.

Again, a flowing pace throughout these sections.

*APPLAUSE!*
WELL DONE, MICHELE!

The last line, “A little while, a moment of rest upon the wind, and another woman shall bear me,” with your incredibly tender intonation is THE star in the crown of this book.

Overall, this was entire book was lovely and lovingly narrated. It is easy to visualize him as he stands there speaking, the sun casting a slow change across the sees and skies. Your reading never becomes preachy, but increases in a sense of intimacy with the reader.

Over the years, Gibran's prose poem will be recorded many times; it has that lasting influence and shall have deep future impact.
YOUR recitation, Michele shall long be wide favorite among the many.

It has a been a pleasure to accompany you on the journey of The Prophet.
I look forward to our next project together!

Thanks, Angelique. Always a pleasure working with you.
Now how about helping me come up with some keywords. I am drawing a blank except for:

Almustafa, Almitra, Gibran, wanderer, Lebanon, Lebanese, poetry, spirituality

After that list is complete, I think I am satisfied with the summary and we are ready to catalogue this puppy.

*Smile* I hope that's helpful!

That's right. Get the keywords down as often as possible, so that your work comes up toward the top of the search results.
