Hi Carolin -

This test file is PL OK. Not sure if it is in Listeners Wanted also, however it was fine when I listened to it just now and checked the settings.

Sections 30 & 31 are well edited, with new times.

Section 30 9:29
Section 31 12:42

Thanks!

Hi Carolin. I see where Lynda noted the 1 minute test was ok. I called myself uploading it in "listeners wanted" but will do so again and repost. Here is the updated file (chapter 27). Please advise if I need to redo any of the pronunciations. Burgundy, again thanks for capturing the oversight. Yes I missed where the chapter actually started!!

Thank you for the quick re-up, Larry and your contribution!
WE are all PL okay now. *Smile*
My pleasure to help as much as possible by prooflistening; just as we cannot well edit our own writing, so it is with self-listen. (Ohh, yess. I KNOW! *Smile*)

Looking forward to hearing more of your recordings,
~Angelique

I would love to read the rest of the stories that are open, i.e. 32, 34, 35 and 38-44.

I'm new here, but I've got the 1-minute test approved, so I'm good to go.

Thanks,
Vlad
Hi vlad, welcome to librivox!

You are welcome to participate in this project. As this is your first claim, i will add you to the reader database. To be able to sign you up, i need to know under which name or pseudonym you would like to appear in the catalog. We can also link to your personal website or blog.

I will sign you up for two or three sections to get started, rather than for all of them at once. Once you have completed these, you can claim dome more :) which sections would you like? Thank you!

Section 29 Rami

Great effort here!
Some notes for you. Please let us know how and when we can help. *Smile*

Recording has a DC bias of -6, which may throw the sound off center. (You may be able to see that on the center line of your recording window the sound waves are above it.)
This link may help you with many basic recording issues:
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Questions_and_Answers

:58
Text: There are but few "paths"
I hear: "path-es"

1:52
Text: Amid the "solemn" silence
Unble to distinguish word

3:21 - end recording
High volume jump compared to beginning of recording.

I think you have a decible change of 5-6 here, which is noticeable.
When making the other edits, please check the wave form on your recording software. You can either level up, or level down so that it's more even.

4:18
Stumble "Until I met a ma ... anyone today."

9:14 Okureha gave her husband some of the furoshu "saké"
Said: Sake (to rhyme with rake)
Pronounced as "Sa-key"

9:23
Text: They were sitting on a beautiful green "grassy" spot
I hear: They were sitting on a beautiful green "gracy" spot

10:04 "... and pointed her out "to" her husband as their benefactress
Omitted in recording: "to"
(Please insert. *Smile)

10:26-10:28 There are a few seconds of what sounds like quiet laughter. *SMILE*
Please omit though.

Please omit 10:36-10:42
"End of Ancient Tales and Folklore of Japan, by Richard Gordon Smith. "

This is used for the end of the book, instead of every chapter. (*Smile* I made this mistake at first, too!)

Please remember to include 5 seconds of silence at the end.

Thanks for your contribution, Rami!

I'll go by the name of Vlad Amelchuck. And I don't have anything like a website yet, but I'm thinking of making one in the future; would it be possible to link to it later?

All right, then, may I have 32, 34 and 35, please? :)
