[COMPLETE] Practical View of Real Christianity by Wilberforce-tg
And I've actually gotten 12 & 13 recorded as well! Just working on editing them now. Might even record 14 this afternoon if I get some other things done first. Life is about to get hectic again and I want to keep this fire going as long as possible.

I just realized that there are three "end footnotes" that are missing in Section 13. I don't know why I didn't read them, but when I was editing, I made marks for me to go back and put them in ... and then I forgot. I'll fix that this evening.

Sure, I'll get to these as soon as I can.

Here's a technical question for you: If I find mistakes in a track, fix those mistakes, and upload the new file with the exact same name as the first file, does the Librivox database automatically replace the first file with the second? Do I still have to paste the 'new' link into the BC window? Even though it is the same file name as the one before?

Your newest file will always be the one that the link points to.LillisJoy wrote: ↑January 9th, 2019, 9:41 pm Here's a technical question for you: If I find mistakes in a track, fix those mistakes, and upload the new file with the exact same name as the first file, does the Librivox database automatically replace the first file with the second? So when I download from the link in the MW, it will be the latest one that you uploaded.
So, you don't have to paste the link again.
I believe that the previous versions are saved in the file, just renamed, so they are available if needed, but Tricia can give you the full scoop if I'm wrong.
I'm really looking forward to listening to these.
We were snowed-in today, but I worked remotely, putting in some overtime, so I'm tapped out now.

Correct - the link points to the newest file, as long as the file name is exactly the same.
The old file gets renamed, so it's still available if needed (unless I go in and delete the renamed files in my folder, which I occasionally do).

Section 12 is PL OK.
Section 13: There is a drop of about 3-4 db at about 7:06, as if amplification was applied to only part of the file. You might want to touch that up.
Excellent reading, as usual

Ah! Great, thanks for catching that. I've made the amplification consistent now.

Only FIVE sections left! Woohoo!
I was doing a little spot listening and noticed that I sometimes forgot to say "This Librivox recording is in the public domain" ... !! How did I forget that?
Should I go back and insert that?

Oh, the completion is near!!
The volume on 13 is now OK and Section 15 is PL OK.
Sorry I missed the missing disclaimer! So, I thought I'd better check the others, but only Sections 13 and 14 have it missing.

Ooof! And I thought that Ch. 4 was going to be the meatiest chapter ... I've just finished recording Ch. 6 (11,000 words!) and there is some hefty material in there. The raw file is 2 hours long. I think the final version is going to be just under an hour. It will probably take me all week to finish editing. Just FYI. I will upload this one at the same time as the fixed Ch. 4 files ... probably next weekend.

Wow!
Your perseverance is amazing!
That's all quite fine, of course.
I'll be gone next week on a short trip to Haiti -- if the roads get cleared from this storm!

Whew! That Chapter 6 was a whammy to edit. Checker didn't like it of course because it was 1:07:31, but it passed in every other way. I've also fixed the other two files for you.
Happy weekend!
