Hi Gail,

Thank you! Yes, I did notice the sound and tried to remove it unsuccesfully. I recorded it with the microphone of my laptop, so that might be the cause. I won't be recording anymore until I have a separate USB microphone, the sound really bothers me.

Best regards,

That would be a shame if it takes a while. I really liked the way you read.

I have only tried it once but you might do a short experiment using the microphone on your earbuds if you have a set of iPhone earbuds. When I tried that it was not using my laptop but an app on my phone. The recording was a bit duller than usual otherwise fine. It might be better straight into the laptop. Dunno.

Cheers

Hi Carolin,

I'm sorry to say I'm going to have to abandon Section 22, as I've had some health issues the past several months that have rather affected my life. Best of luck completing this!

Best,

Section 10 recorded. Must edit before upload - some of those place names stopped me worse than the steepness of the slopes or the depths of the snow!

Thanks, Todd

Here is section 10.

https://librivox.org/uploads/carolin/mountainadventures_10_timbs_128kb.mp3

length 27:29

A great climb with lottsa unexpected philosophical content. The treatment of the indigenous people - and of some of the climbers in the party - were quite interesting. And I loved the finding of seashell fossils at the top of the mountain (in 1797) - must have really shaken some theories of the world....

Thanks, Todd

My pleasure. It was quite interesting, as I note above.

Not having pre-read, I was worried as I read that it might contain another copy of "The Dreaded Sentence with Twenty Volcano Names (TDSWTVN)" that I report having almost mastered me back in viewtopic.php?p=1392418#p1392418 . But it was not that bad.

Thanks, Todd
