chapter 4: about 5 times you breathe directly into the microphone, and sometimes, you can hear some distant honking cars (but only with my best headphones on :-)). that is all what i noticed, besides: it is wonderful, how lively, how emphasizing you are reading. wonderfully read chapter 4 is pl ok!

cheers :-)
Hi... seasons greetings! I’m pleased you marked this PL OK... in general, we recommend breathing  ... and listeners have commented they like the occasional breath sounds as it makes it sound more like they are in the same room as the reader. Of course, heavy breathing can be disconcerting, and if you have a head cold it can be difficult to understand.
In the same vein, slight background noise (traffic, dogs, birds etc.) are fine provided they don’t interfere with the clarity of the reading.

oh my, didnt think of a reaction like this to my pl!
thank you lynnet for this little tear running down my cheek now.
i wholeheartedly agree and second it: we recommend to breathe :D
these 5 times i mentioned, because it resulted in slight plosive-similar noise - but i rated it as you wrote: it didnt interfere with the clarity of reading!
oh my, i have to add this comment to my list of comments, somewhere...
cheers,

hello jyothi,

also from me: thank you for your recording!

i was thinking of giving you the pl ok, but...
there are two short passages, which should get corrected (i think, at least) and another short section i recommend to add:

- second 23/24: the first 3 words are missing - "Led by Russ" (that one is optional)

- 5:27 i hear "she exped" instead of "she expected"
- 5:39 i hear "mrs bun" instead of "mrs bunker"
- 5:56 "nothing about boats" instead of "something about boats"
(since there are three possibilities to get corrected within 30 seconds, i suggest to read the few sentences anew)

- 8:15- 8:17 i try to describe it: "mun moon and" - i think you forgot to cut the repeat/one of the versions of the name?

checker mentioned the background noise. but after trying it with audacity, listening to it... i honestly don't think it is necessary.

as with all my pls: if i made a mistake, or you cannot understand my german english, or...
please don't hesitate to ask back, i will try to help asap.

cheers,
cheers

Hello,

I tried to generate the link for the corrected version through the lv uploader, however, I get this message:
SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0.

Any advice on what I am doing wrong?

hi,

i can only assume, paragonating problems on other sites:
- did you use the correct process, choosing the file and the mc folder? (please see below)
- did you try to log out of the uploader, and log in again?
- did you upload the file with a title with allowed signs only? or maybe there is a mistyping (like using a ", ^, or a þ instead of a p, or æ instead of a)?
- maybe cleaning browser cache and cookies might help?
- sometimes it helps to try it again after a few minutes?

what i did check is, that the new version of your recording is not uploaded according to the index.

cheers,

(just to be sure)
