Hi - I'm Phyllis, username PhyllisV. About 15 years ago I worked with an adult who was learning to read. We found that what worked best for him was for me to record a story that he enjoyed, and then he'd take the recording home along with the book and read along with it. That started my love of reading aloud. A few years back when on a retreat, someone told me about Librivox. I promised myself that once retired, I would volunteer - so here I am! Looking forward to getting started. Just submitted a 1 minute test and need some feedback.

Great! I am still a way from retiring myself, but certainly know what it’s like to look forward to the point when I will have more time for Librivox.
