[SOLO] The Bobbsey Twins on the Deep Blue Sea by Laura Lee Hope ( - 0).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-bobbsey-twins-on-the-deep-blue-sea-by-laura-lee-hope/
This is the 11th in the original series of books about the Bobbseys -- two sets of twins in one family, solving mysteries and having adventures. Bert and Nan are 12, Flossie and Freddie are six. There is a father who works, a mother who stays home, a cook, a handyman, and an assortment of animals.

  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/37909
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I'm surprised there are so few solo recordings of the BT books. With two older sisters I grew up reading these and Nancy Drew. Btw, when you enter the keywords in the template enter them individually otherwise they appear as a "keyphrase" composed of all the words.

Okay, will do. I know - just wait until Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys are PD! And The Boxcar Children.

I made some lists of series titles in Gutenberg, with the titles in Librivox that have been recorded marked. There are many to record -- Bunny Brown, Outdoor Girls, Moving Picture Girls, Bobbsey Twins ... one I can't think of offhand. (There is one being worked on collaboratively now.)

Got it. Off to a great start with a VICIOUS cold given to me by a client hacking and spewing all over the work car a few days ago. Will make the change today and hope it doesn't sound like "Deh Bobbsey Twins od deh deeb blu see." :)

Are you looking for a DPL for this project? If you are I volunteer. :)

I read a few of the Bobbsey twins stories when I was a youngster, and I might've missed this one.

Don't forget to change the status in the MW when you upload a file (to spot check in this case)
