Youngson,
Hi and welcome to Librivox!
There are a few things to do before you get started.
You will need to complete a one minute test - this is to check your specs are up to Librivox standards, and if not, you'll be given hints on how to remedy that. http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test
Please post your test in the Listeners Wanted forum (see the dropdown at the bottom of the page) for the speediest response. Waiting for the OK may seem tedious, but can save time in the long run. While you are working through that, I will go ahead and hold the first 3 sections for you. You're welcome to read more after that.
You will also need to be added to the catalog of readers. Please let me know how you would like to be credited (you can use your forum name, your real name, or something else). We can also link to a personal blog or website. If you click on your name in the Magic Window, you will see your own personal catalog page.
Be sure to read the first post - all the info you need is there, but if anything doesn't make sense, just ask. Lots of friendly volunteers around here who all started somewhere and are happy to answer questions. The wiki (see the top of the page) has bundles of info too.

Thank you for the help and info. I just uploaded my 1 minute test as my USB mic just came in.

My forum name or just MASON will work just fine.
Thank you again.

Mason,
Your reader page is here: https://librivox.org/reader/12959
It shows all your outstanding claims and completed sections. You can also get there by going to the MW and clicking on your name in a section assigned to you.
I see you've posted a thread in listeners wanted with your test. Once you get the OK there, go ahead and start reading! Let us know if you have any questions and I(or one of our many other helpful volunteers) would be happy to help out.

Ruth,
Welcome and we're glad you are here!
Before you get started, you will need to complete a one minute test - this is NOT an audition. It is to check your specs match up to Librivox standards (well, actually the standards of Internet Archive, where our finished projects are hosted). If there's any problem, the volunteers over there can help you sort out your computer and microphone settings. http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test
Please post your test in the Listeners Wanted forum (see the "board index" drop down at the bottom of the page). Waiting for the OK may seem tedious, but can save time in the long run. While you are working through that, I will go ahead and hold these sections for you until you finish the one minute test.

Thank you for your sections. My apologies for the delay in responding in the thread, I've gotten behind with a lot of travel over the holidays. I will PL soon.
Yes, of course. I've updated the MW. Thanks for staying on top of it!
