Craigos wrote: December 27th, 2018, 4:17 amHope everyone has had a good Christmas. I have a short break as my whole family have gone shopping for new handbags.
 well at least they didn't force you to help them choose

Just checked Scene 1.1. all perfectly PL ok. The only thing I can note is that you don't have to include "End of Scene 1". We will immediately start Scene 2 then, so you only have to say "End of Act 1" at the end of the final scene for each act.

No need to reupload though, we can discard it while assembling.

Thanks !

and Ariel is finished. I hope you like what I came up with. At least he brings in quite the supernatural element into the play.

Craig, I checked all your files. Brilliant job on the boatswain 8-) as if you'd done it all your life. It would have been perfect if you had recorded it all in a storm on your boat (we all have to make sacrifices  ) but this will do as well ;) excellent job and PL ok.

The narrator parts are all well read too, but I have a few corrections to make in some scenes:

Scene 1.2.

> at 0:01-0:15: long intro can be cut out as well as we will start with scene 2 immediately
> at about 0:53: missing: "Caliban, within"
> at 1:55: repeat of "To Ferdinand" - did you only want to keep one version and forgot to cut one out ? :hmm:

Scene 2.2.

> at about 0:15: missing: "Thunder"

> at 0:44: "end of scene 2 can be cut out"

Scene 4.1.

> at 1:56: "loaden with glistering apparel, &c"- this means "et cetera" not "and company". In the previous scenes we can leave that expression as it's indeed a company of people, but here it wouldn't fit

Scene 5.1.

> at about 2:07: missing "aside to Ariel" & "exit Ariel"

> at about 2:42: missing "End of The Tempest by William Shakespeare"

Voice credits:

> at 0:01: as narrator you need to include the intro/outro to this as well: "Dramatis Personae of The Tempest by William Shakespeare. This is a Librivox recording. All Librivox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit Librivox dot org."

> at 0:42: I would say "Stage directions" instead of Narrator

> at about 0:50: missing "End of Dramatis Personae"

2.1. / 3.1. / 3.2. / 3.3. are PL ok. Some intros or end of scenes could be cut but since there are no other errors, we can cut them in the final assembly, no reuploads needed.

Thanks for the great work !

Wow, so much activity here today. I love it!

Sonia, I didn't forget Antonio. I've been occupied for the holidays and didn't have time yet to check your files. I'll try to do so today. :)

oh I wouldn't call it rubbish. It was a few technical bits that were wrong, but the narration that was there was really well done  and don't worry, next time another one will be the narrator ;) you only have to do this every 4th project

Sonia, I listened to both Antonio and Ariel, and I think they were marvelous. Your Antonio sounds so callous and unpleasant. I'd never wish to cross him. :? And your Ariel is splendid. I think there was the right amount of reverb. He sounds suitably ethereal and otherworldly. :D Everything PL OK. That means you only have Juno left to record, and then you'll be done!

thank you ! I absolutely love playing the villain with this nasty raspy voice, even though it's so bad for my vocals LOL
And your Ariel is splendid. I think there was the right amount of reverb. He sounds suitably ethereal and otherworldly. :D

what I feared is that he was too difficult to understand because of reverb, but if you think it was ok, then I'm happy. :9: I only hope it won't clash too much to hear reverb inside a "normal" dialogue. Ariel and Prospero talking will be reverb/normal switched on and off. It might make one dizzy
That means you only have Juno left to record, and then you'll be done!
yes I plan on doing her tomorrow. I think I need to get in sync with you there, so that needs a bit of practice.

here is my final part, Juno. I tried to copy your tune, Tomas, but I gave her more of an alto-tone. Juno always strikes me as the more matronly, so it's fitting she should have a deeper voice than Ceres.

I did not quite manage to make the same reverb, but hopefully it's fitting. If not, I still have my unedited file, you could give me your reverb-numbers and I do the exact same:

great job, thanks, Brad ! Both acts PL ok and still nicely in character (drunken character  ) I think the scenes with Trinculo, Caliban and Stephano will be fun later on assembled.

Looking forward to Prospero. Quite an important role there. Good luck !
