Hi Gail, what a wonderful reading voice you have.  Everything sounds great, there is only one correction to make:
Chapter 17:
:54 Incorrect sentence, it should read, "to bear them in triumph to that upper room—he had not been so happy in years" it is read, "to bear them in triumph to that little room, he had been so happy to bear them in triumph to that upper room."

Hi Steve - your microphone sounds MUCH better. Wow! What a difference!
Chapter 21:
There is one thing to correct, your volume falls outside of the target range at 85.7 dB, you're very close, as the range should be 86-92 with 89 being the target.

Okay, thanks. Here is Chapter 21 again. Duration is 24:41

https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/k_21_rinehart_128kb.mp3

I don't know how to measure the "volume" of an mp3 file, let alone set it to a particular range. Advice, please?

For this recording, I just amplified the waveform in Audacity then re-exported to mp3. It's definitely louder, but I have no idea whether it's in the target range.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Sure, I can help you with that. You have done exactly what you need to do, amplifying the Audacity project and then re-exporting the file. You can check how loud the MP3 is by downloading Checker here: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker
The Checker program is a validator program created for Librivox to make sure you file is within specification. Very small file on your computer, helps immensely. You are currently at 88.7dB which is well within specification now.

Hi jenniferrd -

I have just uploaded Chapter 18.

https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/k_18_rinehart_128kb.mp3
16:02.0, approx 88.6 dB.

Thanks for finding the mistake in the previous Chapter. I'll fix it soon and re-post it. Please let me know if you find anything wrong with this one

Oh - and there is some birdsong in the background.... not intentional ... my husband (unusually) opened the window on the room where I record and I didn't notice.... Do you think it is OK? I've heard birdsong in the background of other readers at times and quite enjoyed it. What do you think?

Cheers (and thanks also for the kind comment...)

Thanks Gail, this file is in the MW.

Birdsong or other background sounds are fine as long as the text is clear. If background noise is loud it can be a problem, but birdsong is not usually an issue.
