Yeah, Barbara. My favorite part is coming up when he negotiates with the Saracens to open Jerusalem to pilgrims without ever going to war there. That is really is going to tick off the Pope.

This episode reminded me of "Nathan the Wise" - an elevating C18 drama I had to write an essay on long ago - in which Saladin and a German Templar and the Jew, Nathan, achieve a peaceful concord in C12 Jerusalem.
