Hi Availle, Thanks for this interesting piece! You and I must currently be attuned on some kind of "wave-length," as I was doing a bit of looking, these last few days, at the paintings of John Singer Sargent, and I had a very visceral reaction to his depiction of gigantic storm waves, which he experienced first hand crossing the Atlantic in 1876: https://uploads1.wikiart.org/images/john-singer-sargent/atlantic-storm-1876.jpg.
I did check out "freak waves." Well worth a look.

Here is one that I would like to contribute. It is interesting that it comes shortly after the American Flag.
The title is: "Did Betsy Ross Design the Flag of the United States of America?", by Franklin Hanford

Hello Kalamareader, Welcome to the Nonfiction Collection, and thank you for contributing to volume 62! It's always nice when there are "companion" pieces in a collection, such as you mention about the American flag. I think it attracts the attention of listeners.Kalamareader wrote: ↑December 22nd, 2018, 6:02 pm Here is one that I would like to contribute. Thanks, Craig! Your reading is PL OK!
From Condorcet: "Either no individual of the human species has any true rights, or all have the same; and he or she who votes against the rights of another, whatever may be his or her religion, colour, or sex, has by that fact abjured his own."

a few errors noted.
2:27 I saw them discontinue their appropriate galvanic functions – you read disconnect
3:15 The head became intensely brilliant – you read bright
4:45 and unchangeably organized – you read undischaringly
7:31 - was wholly disengaged from the tenacious physical body – you read tenuous
10:19 It being in a summer month – repetition
11:23 They walked so naturally and fraternally together that I could scarcely realize the fact that they trod the air – you read recognize
At the end - This account of the facts—of what actually happened at death—is confirmed by numerous other witnesses, who agree as to the main details. – this should be read

HI:
Thank you Craig. I am glad someone else is checking. I chose this piece because of the obscure languaging. And thank you for catching the last sentence. It is important to the work.
I have reloaded Portal
https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/snf062_portaloftheunknown_davis_dg_128kb.mp3
All the other information is the same.
Thanks again
