Hello!
Sorry I've been away from here for a couple of weeks, but I'm back and eager to wrap this up -- I will be back to work on this in the next day or two!

I didn't record chapter 3, weird, ok ill look at the file and reupload when I get home tonight.
The problem may be with the link in the magic window. You may have uploaded the file correctly but the wrong link was pasted into the section 1 slot in the window...

Chapter 1 PL notes:
8:11 missing word, should be “mineral theory of manuring”
11:08 “refuge” should be “refuse”
16:10 “area” should be “idea”
19:07 “solidarity” should be “solidity”
20:12 “countries” should be “counties”
Also, there are some electronic buzzes or static noises picked up a couple of times. I find that this can happen when my cell phone is too close to my laptop or mike. Nothing too serious but may want to move phone further away when recording in future.

I can try to punch in the replacements, ill have a chance to record tomorrow night.
Cool! Just let me know here when you have finished, and I'll go back for the spot checks.
If you haven't done much editing before, I find it easiest to cut in changes when I re-record a whole sentence or a chunk of the sentence -- basically from the nearest pause before the replacement bit to the next pause after -- than to try to drop in a word by itself. Also, to work backwards through the changes from the bottom of the list (the latest one in the chapter) when there is more than one or two fixes -- that way the times will still match the ones given by the proof listener and make each fix easier to find. (I was pulling my hair out on my earliest edits before someone -- I think it was Phil Chenevert (thanks Phil!) -- dropped that wisdom on me!)
You are off to a good start though! Glad you are here and joining in!

I had a hard time matching the audio with the updates in Reaper, and ended up re-recording the preface and chapter in Audacity. There's still a vague metallic-ness I can't seem to get rid of in Audacity, but this version is a lot cleaner and corrects the earlier mistakes. Running before I learned to walk. Sorry for wasting your time, if there are any corrections or updates please let me know.
