LOL thanks for the Rocky reference, Brad. Very topical with the new half-sequel out in theatres. :P I will let Sonia PL these; for now I will put them in the MW for her.

thank you, Brad, this is a wonderful start. I especially love this Shipmaster, wow, he sounds so urgent. If any passengers hear his cries, they will surely panic.

Great job on all of them. All PL ok so far.

And thanks, Tomas, for explaining the "Yo Adrian" quote. I have never seen any of the Rocky movies, so I didn't know what that was all about

For the shipmaster and the mariner, I felt that a loud voice would be realistic given the circumstance. But I was afraid to scream into my microphone for fear of damaging it. So after saying "<role> by Brad" I pushed the microphone further away.

what also gives a nice effect, instead of pushing the mic away, simply try turning your head away from the mic. It will give a good effect of "off-stage". I already did that sometimes.

Stephano is totally PL ok. Wonderful drunken performance  And the songs had cool tunes as well. Did you invent them on the spot or are they taken from the play itself ?

A bit of a mix really. I vaguely recalled a melody from an audio performance that I borrowed from the library decades ago, but I couldn't remember all of it. So it's part from memory and part invention.

I use a headset with a microphone attached, so if I turned away, the microphone would turn with me. So by pushing the microphone away, what Imean is I'm pushing it up until it's in front of my forehead away from my mouth.

aha...just be careful with copyrighted tunes, is all I ask ;) you know we have to tread carefully there. So invented tunes are a safe bet.

Another Stephano scene is complete.

https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/tempest_stephano_3_2.mp3

At one point Stephano sings again, but as you can see, he invites Trinculo to sing as well. The text is rather vague as to whether or not Trinculo does sing, however. If it is decided that he should, perhaps Craig could listen to that part of this file to get a sense of the melody I used. Or maybe he wouldn't have to, since both characters have been drinking it probably shouldn't sound pleasant anyway. lol

Here is the passage:

Ste. At thy request, monster, I will do reason, any reason. —Come on. Trinculo, let us sing. Sings.
Flout ’em and scout ’em, and scout ’em and flout ’em;
Thought is free.

excellent section, Brad. You don't sound altogether sober but still not totally drunk either. A good middle ground.

And yes for the song, Craig can listen to your version, but I would also think that it would be best if you're making more of a cacophony, to enhance the comedic effect. So pitch perfect is not required

PL ok. Thanks

LOL I know what you mean, Sonia. Not a bad bone in her body. But you play her wonderfully. I can definitely picture someone who has been sheltered away from all society from your performance. So trusting and so guileless. It's no wonder she falls head over heels for Ferdinand.

All scenes are PL OK! Can't wait for more!

thank you, Tomas. And here are some more. Antonio is the total opposite of Miranda. He's been there, done that - and not above killing some kings along the way if it suits his purpose  (and probably also a heavy smoker, judging by his voice

Hi

Could you check this before I go to far. I've had some trouble with settings etc. and not sure if it is all corrected.

Hope everyone has had a good Christmas. I have a short break as my whole family have gone shopping for new handbags.

I have only checked tech specs Craig, but they are all correctly set. Will PL later in the day, I want to record a bit for Ariel now.

Tomas, here is my first scene for Ariel. Please be honest if it's not overdone on the reverb. I kept the untreated file, so I can always go back and change things. I think though that we should keep him on full reverb, just to make him very distinct from all the humans.

Oh, also included is the first song. I decided to go for my own tunes.

PS did you miss that I already uploaded Antonio ? :hmm:
