I have PM'd our DPL but haven't heard back yet.OliverBoliver wrote: ↑November 29th, 2018, 9:26 pm Chapter 6 is uploaded, https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/starchamber1_06_ainsworth_128kb.mp3, length 09:15. Thanks.
None of my work has been proofed, but I'm willing to continue if that's ok with you. I think I've read through chapter 10 or 11 and I'm willing to continue recording, but I'm going to bed right now .

My screen name is from one of the stories read to my children quite often, "Too Many Daves" by Dr. Seuss. My kids are grown, so now I read to everyone and no one.

PL notes, one slight editing, two tech issues
Hi Oliver,
1-Please shorten the amount of silence at the beginning of your recording to no more than 0.5 to 1 second of silence.
2-Your volume is low at 84.0 dB. Please increase it (in Audacity) to the target range of (86–92 dB).
3-Background noise (humming). Please check in Audacity to see if anything shows up (different systems pick of different sounds).
4-This is the biggy. Your reading is wonderful! A pleasure listening!

Thanks for the PL! I'll look for the cause of the humming. All of my recordings have about 2 seconds of silence at the beginning. I will fix that and the volume.
