None of my work has been proofed, but I'm willing to continue if that's ok with you. I think I've read through chapter 10 or 11 and I'm willing to continue recording, but I'm going to bed right now :) .
I have PM'd our DPL but haven't heard back yet.

My screen name is from one of the stories read to my children quite often, "Too Many Daves" by Dr. Seuss. My kids are grown, so now I read to everyone and no one.

sect 2
PL notes, one slight editing, two tech issues
Hi Oliver,
1-Please shorten the amount of silence at the beginning of your recording to no more than 0.5 to 1 second of silence.
2-Your volume is low at 84.0 dB. Please increase it (in Audacity) to the target range of (86–92 dB).
3-Background noise (humming). Please check in Audacity to see if anything shows up (different systems pick of different sounds).

4-This is the biggy. Your reading is wonderful! A pleasure listening!

sect 3

PL notes: 2 tech issues
Hi Oliver,
1-Please shorten the amount of silence at the beginning of your recording to no more than 0.5 to 1 second of silence.
2-Your volume is low at 82.5 dB. Please increase it (in Audacity) to the target range of (86–92 dB).

3-Your reading was perfect.

Once you get your two issues resolved, you will be on your way to LV greatness. :D

Thanks for the PL! I'll look for the cause of the humming. All of my recordings have about 2 seconds of silence at the beginning. I will fix that and the volume.
