hi,

im using the templates CDcover_template_groupbw and the solo version on a regularly basis.
i just noticed, that they have the wrong lik in the text: librivox.com instead of librivox.org.

now, i actually do wonder, how many of my covers have the wrong link in them..
im not using these texts in every cover, but i used them..
:help:
can you please correct the templates, or at least hint at that mistake in the first post text somewhere near the link?

thanks a lot,
cheers

hi,

(with the .org link, i hope :))

https://librivox.org/uploads/covers/adelgitha_1812.zip

here is my cover for claimslist: Adelgitha; or, The Fruits of a Single Error
https://librivox.org/adelgitha-or-the-fruits-of-a-single-error-by-matthew-lewis/

i didnt participate in a drama, and it was fascinating to listen to...
way above my language skills, i fear..
and so much work done..

pictures:
A portrait from the Welsh Portrait Collection at the National Library of Wales,
artist: William Holl the Younger (February 1807 in Plaistow, Essex – 30 January 1871)
- the title page (or something like that) from the project-book
- a foto by the kiwi fruits, i got as a neighbour present (thank you, neighbours!) - and which lewis never saw or heard of, for sure :-(

cheers,

Cover caught and linked - thank you :D
I wondered what the blue things were :D He wouldn't have met kiwi fruit but the NZ people renamed them, in my youth they were called Chinese gooseberries, which may have been available - I really don't know. They were a popular pavlova topping.

I've made a note in the first post - I have no pdf editing program but hopefully, someone will come along

:D
thank you for your answer, anne!
i was - a little bit - hoping, that the cover has this effect.
i was thinking of using the foto, tried out some editings done by some never used gimp utility-dialogs (levels)... and voila, i had the feeling of "i should claim this cover in the list"..

the templates are in doc and rtf format, but as im using google drive as my office suite, i am not sure about results and formats...

have a nice evening,
cheers!
cheers

Michele - that is not your latest cover - it's the cover for the 5 mice I'm talking about.
to quote pixabay
Imagery depicting identifiable persons, logos, brands, etc. may be subject to additional copyrights, property rights, privacy rights, trademarks etc. and may require the consent of a third party or the license of these rights - particularly for commercial applications.
So I need to be sure that the sculpture is copyright free

Amit - the hostesses in both images are no doubt models and possibly still alive so would probably need to give their consent. I don't think we can accept them, the plane is probably OK.

5 mice is linked, so I assumed you were speaking of Thou Shalt Not Kill, which isn't linked.

Here's the link to the children sculpture page. I thought photos of art can be copyright free, even if the art isn't, especially if it is on outdoor public display.

I really don't know - that's why I'm seeking advice. I noticed Wikipedia tends to state "PD because it is a 2-dimensional reproduction of something in the PD" but I'm not confident about modern public art, I'm reasonably confident that someone owns the rights to this and if I made replicas of it someone, either the maker or the owner would sue. The pixabay statement also doesn't rule out this possibility.

Anne
The woodcut is fine - a clever match for the poem

I must have linked the wrong one , I've linked the woodcut and unlinked the mice until this is sorted out

Okay, no problem. I will try and match something else by tonight, my time.

Thanks for the heads up. I have no idea who the models are but lets hope they are alive and well.

They may all be dead and buried or love having their pictures used but it's like with the texts, we don't have a legal team, we need to be squeaky clean. And the coverart finishes up all over the place so any breaches are easily found. Even if they are dead their families can still hold rights. Or the lawyer who brought the rights.
It's just not worth it. I think you could just remove them and it would probably look alright

I have uploaded this cover here: https://librivox.org/uploads/covers/compilation_poemes_011_1812.zip
which corresponds to the compilation de poemes no 011, this project:
