I'll take section 11, if that's ok. Seems a little odd since there are pictures that are really key to comprehension, but hey, if it needs to be read it needs to be read.

I actually have time now, so I'm about to begin recording it. I expect to post it before anyone sees this note.

I have never tried a section as large as section 3, so I tried it before posting a claim. I thought it was a safe bet no one else would claim it tonight.

Here it is:

Length: 14:11, almost 14:12

Hi McScotty!

Thanks for your contributions to the project! It's great to get us moving again on this issue.

I notice that you did not claim these sections and wait for approval before recording it. The normal way it happens is to claim it first so the BC can keep track of who is reading what. So in the future just ask for a section or sections and have the BC acknowledge first, OK? It is appreciated. I do know it's hard to wait sometimes.

That being said, I am grateful for your enthusiasm! Feel free to stop back for more when we launch the next issue.

Jill :)

Hello! Welcome to LibriVox!

Yes, of course you may read section 5 for the project! We're glad to have you.

Before you record for this project it is strongly recommended that you complete a 1-minute test. This helps ensure that you have everything set up correctly and that your audio is at the correct levels which saves you from having to re-record files for projects like this one. Here is the wiki page on how to record, upload, and receive feedback on your 1-minute test:
http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test

Also, if you haven't already seen it, the Newbie Guide to Recording is a page you should read through:
http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Newbie_Guide_to_Recording

I have added you to the LibriVox catalog, you can see your catalog page at: https://librivox.org/reader/12937. You can also get to this by clicking on your name in the Magic Window (MW). This is a good place to look to keep track of recordings you've signed up for, to see section details click on the link to "Reader Section Details" which appears just a few lines down from your name. This page includes your forum name "apoorvachourasia123" and can also contain your real name or a pseudonym, plus a web site/blog if you have one you would like to link to. Let me know if you would like to add a name and/or a web site.

Again, welcome to LibriVox and enjoy!

My apologies for failing to follow protocol. I wound up with an unexpected block of time and wanted to fill it with Librivox... but I didn't have any outstanding claimed sections. Diving in to this without waiting for the claim/acknowledgement cycle was a calculated risk on my part; I saw that the project had been idle for a while and figured the worst case scenario would be perhaps I would read something that couldn't be used. I'll have to work on my patience, and request some open sections in advance in order to fill future blocks of time that may open up unexpectedly.

Glad I could help get the project rolling again.

Since we only have one section of this issue left, I decided to post Issue 15 now so we can begin work on it. It is currently in the Launch Pad: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=73481. If anyone from this project would like to join us on Issue 15, stop by and make your claims. See you there!

Section 05 is back open for claims. Please claim only if you can finish the section within 2-3 weeks. We'd like to get this issue finished up! Thanks! :)
