That is an excellent suggestion, I can't believe we don't have [Edit: Dorothy and] The Wiz as a DR yet!
Hmmmmm... toys with the idea...

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a DR. It's the many other Oz books, many of which aren't DRs yet.
School fiction: David Blaize
America Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart

Thank you. Also, thanks for the advice about getting some BC experience by doing a group project. Now, I just have to wait for some readers.
Humble suggestion for a possible future DR:
A Summer in a Canyon: A California Story by Kate Douglas Smith Wiggin
Very nice juvenile fiction? It's even written somewhat like a "play" although not scripted.
Most of the male characters are youth, so maybe if not done gender specific, it might be doable.
EDIT 01/16/2019:
Here's Summary and Characters List.
Here's Chapter 1 in script form.
Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4
I've scripted the whole thing and do plan on BCing this one in a month or so.

Looks like a good balance between narration and dialog, so should work well as a DR.
Depending on when you launch, I might be interested in narrator, if you're not doing it.
I have a major narration to finish up first.
On the road again, so delays are possible

Yes, that would be great if you are interested. I plan on BC/Editing myself, so will only be needing a final chapters DPL now.silverquill wrote: ↑January 20th, 2019, 11:42 am Depending on when you launch, I might be interested in narrator, if you're not doing it.

I would like to finish up my solo, so that may mean I can launch this in about 3-4 weeks.
Edit: Launched! (Link below in signature)

Suggestion from Twitter:
The Third Violet by Stephen Crane
I asked for more info (is it dialogue-driven rather than narration-driven, and therefore good for a DR), but am posting this before I got a reply.
The Third Violet by Stephen Crane
http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/19593Taking a break from his bleaker narratives, Stephen Crane wrote this witty romantic comedy about a landscape painter named Hawker, who slums as a magazine illustrator, on vacation in the mountainous hometown of his youth. There he's instantly smitten with a wealthy young woman, Miss Fanhall, staying at a hotel in the woods. Along for the ride is his journalist buddy, Hollanden, who adds a Twain-ish level of satirical running commentary.

Love this idea! I’ve been reading these books to my kids and would love to participate!IanBaker wrote: ↑November 10th, 2018, 1:19 pm https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Dorothy_and_the_Wizard_in_Oz
I would like to suggest starting up the project: Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz, By L Frank. Baum
But as a Dramatic Reading.
This would be a good book to record because it is simple and yet timeless. Currently we do not have a dramatic version of this book.
Thanks,
