Ho! Here's a head and an Act IV, so you should have a clean file now.
Thanks for listening to all these stage directions!!

On the road again, so delays are possible

yes I noticed some echoes too in some of your sections, though not in all.ToddHW wrote: ↑November 6th, 2018, 7:23 amI have been unhappy with my recording setup since my move. Although I have very much enjoyed being able to record directly to Audacity with the new computer and a USB mic (instead of uploading every file from my handheld Sony), I have had varying sound quality: sometimes okay, sometimes echo-y in my new office space, sometimes distorted even though not clipped.
I'm sorry this leads to frustration, but I can fully understand.
I can only speak from "my" Blue Yeti experience, but I love the sound Maybe you have read the warnings on amazon and other sites ? Apparently the Blue Yeti is prone to fail after some time. Reading all this, I was reluctant to buy it at first, but then I did it after all and never looked back. Now I am getting a Blue Yeti like you have, along with a boom and shock mount (to replace the old camera tripod and rubber bands I have been using for 6+ years). Should arrive later this week. If that works as I hope, I will be able to get all my claimed roles and sections done and start to enjoy recording again.
Though I must admit: I'm handling it with kid's gloves I take extra care when I move it anywhere, I don't fiddle with the cable (which does look a bit like a weak link) and basically I don't move it much at all. So maybe, just maybe, I am lucky and it hasn't failed me yet because I am so extremely cautious with it. Tomas (WiltedScribe) has the same and I remember his cable once was broken, so we was less lucky, but it was easily replaced I think.
So be warned but if you take great care, at least the sound will be good. Well you know my sound, if you like that, yours should be the same.
Good luck ! And if you want to re-record any section that you were not happy with, at least I won't mind relistening to your sections again. We still have time. If you prefer a better sound, I can totally understand that and support that effort.

Sonia
Received my Yeti microphone and sound in a test sample I recorded was very nice. So maybe I can catch up on the recordings I owe!
Thanks, Todd
Thanks, Todd
yay yay yay and be careful with the cable plug-in underneath the microphone. I always thought it's a silly place to plug the cable in.

finally managed to listen to the role and I enjoyed your characterization SO MUCH ! You really make him boasting and boisterous enough, but there is also a lot of tragic in his character, especially in the third act, where he so desperately starts to like this role he first spurned. He probably knows deep down that his best days are over, even though he would never admit it. And they need the money, even from small roles. I think there is something endearing in this.
Oh and I especially love when you talk with a biscuit in your mouth. Real or not, it sounds convincing and is an excellent touch for the scene
On the performance I have absolutely nothing to criticize. You developed the character extremely well. Also, considering the lay-out was so awful in some parts, you managed to get "almost" all the lines in.
There is one that you missed however in Act 2, actually right at the beginning:
> at about 0:01: missing line: Gadd. [Who is a little flushed and unsteady.] Ha! I shall remember this accursed evening.
Acts 1 and 3 are already PL ok.
Thanks so much for taking part here.
Sonia
I figured I probably missed something along the way.
Ferdinand Gadd, act 2, patched and re-uploaded:

Started assembly with draft of Act 1. You all sound great!
EDIT: Draft of Act 2 done. (Neither 1 or 2 are ready for PL yet.)
Thanks, Todd

The good news is that I extremely liked your over-the-top performance of O'Dwyer This guy redefines the meaning of stressed out at the workplace you are wonderfully annoying and exasperating but at least he shows a softer side with the actresses.
Oh and I was curious to hear your genuine Irish drawl. So that's what it sounds like.
BTW a great yawn you were giving us here ! Sounded heart-felt.
I only have two small corrections to note:
> for the voice credit, he is called O’Dwyer, not just Dwyer (probably makes more Irish LOL) you started a bit abruptly, I’m guessing the microphone didn’t kick in yet so the O was cut. Always leave a bit of space at the beginning so nothing will get cut off
> at 0:17: “Oh, sunshine's nothing. [To Tom.] But did ye observe the gloom on their faces whilst ye were read in'?” – here you would have to leave 2 seconds of pause to insert the stage directions.
> at 4:49: “employed in the way described” – there’s a slight stumble in this sentence
Simply paste the corrections in the correct slots and reupload with the same file name and all is well
thanks ! And I hope you liked it so we can hear you in other plays as well.
