I’ll listen to it sometime after dark - cookout tonight.

At about 16:45, you read "the past 150 years" but the text says "the past 150,000 years" - I wouldn't mention this one if it weren't for the obvious attention to detail you're putting into this. There are several "thousand"s nearby; you can probably borrow one of those and edit it in after the 150. If you don't want to do that let me know and I'll mark the chapter PL OK.Sciguyvoice wrote: ↑October 24th, 2018, 1:15 pm Section 4 is now ready for PL.

I like that you're reading "degrees centigrade" rather than "degrees Celsius" - "centigrade" was used much more commonly in 1975, even in scientific circles. For example, a quick scan of Wikipedia's Celsius page tells me the BBC switched from "centigrade" to "Celsius" in weather reports in 1985 (and the Beeb is usually pedantic about things like that).

Section 2 - "Summary of Principal Conclusions and Recommendations - PL OK
Section 2 gets into the acronym salad I feared/knew was coming. Listeners will need to keep a notebook handy to keep track of the names of the recommended groups. That's to be expected in a technical paper. The Checker program complained mildly about background noise, but it wasn't at all objectionable. Checker just gets too fussy sometimes.
Thanks for the chapter!

Thank you so much!
I guess as long as you can keep up with the acronyms, our readers can as well!

One thing I wondered while recording was whether to spell out "GARP", like the other "acronyms". I decided not to after listening to what a previous reader (Sciguyvoice?) had done.
(Nerd note: An acronym is pronounced as a word, e.g. "FUBAR". A string of initials that's spelled out is technically an initialism.)

May I have the PLing of Section 3?
Quer narrar uma obra EM PORTUGUÊS? Que tal Horto, de Auta de Souza? ou O Guarani, de José de Alencar?
