Is Kara's chapter 5 PL OK? It keeps coming up in the MW as so, and I'm not sure if that's my mistake or if you've purposely set it like that.
Just checking in to make sure.
Thanks!

Definitely PL OK.

I change the status of a section when it passes the PL OK test.

Mono file is here: https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_jfass_mono.mp3
This is fine. You are OK to record lots and lots for LibriVox. Did you post this test in the Listener's Wanted forum? If so I need to go there and mark it OK.
Added note: did you put a touch of reverb in there? it sounded like that which is a nice touch but perhaps not wanted for LV recordings. If not then just ignore this but I'm curious.
EDIT: never mind, I found it there and marked you as OK. As a rule LibriVox doesn't add sound effects to our recordings so try not using the preset for reeverb. Your voice is still amazingingly good!

Oh, ok thank you Lomond. I am used to a DPL posting in this page when a chapter is PL OK, but that's fine, no worries. Thanks!

Hi jfass,
Before I can put you in the Magic Window I need to know a little bit of information. How would you like your name or pseudonym to appear in the LibriVox catalogue? Also, please read the first post of this project carefully. I am holding chapter 20 for you, but before I can set it as Ready For PL I need to know what you want your catalogue name to be.

I'm wondering if I am listening to the correct recording as I did not hear the full introduction on this one. :hmm: :hmm:

Lomond
Lomond,
I just previewed it and it seems to be the correct one. I said, "Preface of the Adventures of Tom Sawyer, by Mark Twain". At the end I said "End of Preface". I hope that's correct :?

Hi jfass,
I skimmed over the first part of your recording (Lomond, being the DPL, will get to it in full length soon) and the recording sounds a tiny bit echoey. I can hear a faint echo in the background- are you using Audacity? I noticed you used GarageBand for your 1-Minute Test but unfortunately I cannot help if you are using GarageBand- Phil may be able to help, though.

JayKitty, you are not reading the LibriVox disclaimer. Please read the first post where it specifies exactly what to say at the beginning of a section. In this case Preface is correct, but after that should come
This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org If you wish, say: "Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
Say The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain, preface.:
You are leaving out the disclaimer. When I record, I always have the first post up on my cmputer and so I can read it exactly as the BC said to read it so as to get it right. Even after 1500+ sections, I still do this because my brain is old and fuzzy.
The first post is what everyone should follow to keep it consistent.
