wow it's been 10 sections already ? thank you for this section, April. While listening I remembered the very interesting TV mini-series about the life of Attila, here is the wiki link to the synopsis: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attila_(miniseries)adr6090 wrote: ↑October 9th, 2018, 3:13 pm https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/worldstory_volume04_91_tappan_128kb.mp3 time 11:18
above is my last section claimed for this thread.
They really had a great cast of good actors. Gerard Butler as Attila and Powers Boothe as Aetius were simply perfect. Highly recommendable to watch. And a lot of things you just read in this chapter were also in the movie, so it all sounded familiar to me.
I have a few PL notes this time:
> at 1:05: (p. 541) “the year 445 of our era” – you say “1445”
> at 2:46: (p. 542) stumble and repeat “the tidings that the royal brethren, Attila and Bleda - correction”, can be cut out
> at 4:19: (p. 542) “it was not until the year 451” – again you say “1451”
> from 11:03-11:06: between the end of the text and the end disclaimer, you leave 6 seconds of silence. This is a bit much, I already started to think you had forgotten the end disclaimer could you cut this down to 1 or 2 seconds at the most ?
And that's it, the rest was perfect, also all the many difficult names were nicely pronounced Thanks
