I have listened to section 1. Nice stopping point in the story. Certainly leaves the listener hanging.
Thanks, I can't claim any credit, I just split them into roughly equal parts :)

Intro and ending: I thought you had decided to use "part" instead of "chapter". I'm hearing chapter.
I had already recorded the first two sections, do you think it is worth going back and changing?
linny wrote: October 9th, 2018, 7:35 am Did you noise clean the entire section? There is background in the first 16 minutes. It's not distracting and won't change the PL status if you don't clean it but my ear was relieved when it went away.

I'm enjoying the story and your reading style.
I did but I am having some problems with my mic. I have purchased a Samsun CU01 as advised on these forums but waiting for it to arrive. I will see if there is anything I can do to this to improve the audio.

If it were me, I would since the text doesn't actually have chapters. If you would rather not and if Phil is ok with it saying chapters then it will be fine with me. :D

Sure, you can say chapters. :D

OK uploaded an updated part 1. I have gone back to the original, re-cleaned; amplified and normalised. I think this sounds cleaner - what do you think?

Section 1 is 7 seconds longer than the prior version so I'll need to listen to it again. I've marked it as Ready for PL.

Section 2 is spot check PL OK.

Section 3
You reverted back to the long intro. Did you want that? You have the short version in section 2.

Other than this possible change, section 3 is PL OK.

Err no, I'll chop that out.

Section 3 now has the short intro if you just want to check that is OK. Thanks!

I didn't find the 7 second difference in section 1 but the background noise in the beginning is resolved. PL OK.

OK that is weird. I checked my version of the MP3 and it was the same so somehow I failed to save the MP3 correctly (or at all). This time my version of the MP3 sounds good and I have re-uploaded it (it being part 3)

Part 4 uploaded. This is using my new mic, hopefully the difference won't be too glaring.
