Section 9, Converse is PL ok :)

On 10:27 in "hark! some wild trumpeter," there is missing "wild", but there is definitely no need to fix it, I mention it only in case you want to be word-perfect (as far as I even hear it...) ;) I wouldn't even have noticed if I didn't read along. Wonderfully read :9: ; I like the phrasing in the poem

Perfectly edited in and still PL OK ;)
Correct. I only re-recorded the parts I listed. (I had to play around a bit with reverb so that they would match their surroundings, which puzzles me a little. I was recording in the same room under what seemed to me the exact same conditions, but the re-recorded sections came out with a noticeably "drier" sound. If I hadn't added a little reverb, the seams would have been obvious.)

Oh, I can't even keep my head quiet enough while recording one take, not even to speak of re-recording ;)

:help: Hi Lynnet,

I checked my section 34 and it failed because of its length (1hour 18min 55secs!).
What should I do? Can I post it anyway? In the end, there should be 5 or 10 seconds after my recording?

Please help me!
Let's give Peace a chance.

Oh dear... we have a maximum of 72 minutes (1 hour 12 minutes). Is there any way you can shave some time off, maybe by reducing some breaks? But 6 minutes is quite a bit to shave off... I think there is a way to speed up a file without making you sound like Minnie Mouse, but I'll have to seek advice. Don't worry... I'm not going to ask you to re-record... I'll figure something out 8-)
You will need 5 seconds at the end.

Don't post it just yet... I might have to do a bit of tweeking at my end.

Is it possible to split the file into two ones? Like for example Romeo and Juliet and the two Fantasieas in the first file and starting at Symphonie No 4 the second? That way it would only be needed to edit an and an intro in. Well, and schrm and realisticspeakers would need to change section numbers, but both of them are nice guys ;)

Sorry, got distracted by the birth of my first grandchild :9: :9: :9:

Yes, Monika, that was what I was thinking, but I was hoping there was another way around it.

I have changed the file numbers for the last 2 sections, both in the MW and on the server. I think we can leave the intros/outros .

Mayah, at some appropriate point, split the file into two. At the end of the first one, just say "end of part 1".
For the second section, as the intro, don't say section or chapter... just say "Tschaikowsky continued". You will still need the Librivox disclaimer in there.

Wonderfully read Especially the Italian and French words are just perfect :9:

A couple of notes of things I found:
  • 2:39 I hear footnote 166 instead of 165 which is written at this place. As 165 is not very interesting anyway I'd just omit that one. Can the for my feeling really interesting footnote 166 just be copied to the right place? (at 3:54) Or you cut it just out?
  • 12:30 I hear opus thirtwo; somehow the ty of thirty disappeared.
  • 12:59 I hear "ear", written is "year" (in June of the year)
  • 22:20 stumble over "through" (that goest through the black air)
  • 27:55 I hear "and wi- without", wi doubled (We were alone and without all suspicion)
  • 32:08 I hear "winstruments", written is "wind instruments"
  • 33:30 "the outlines clearer, the material more attractive; from a purely musical point of view" is double
That's it, not very much anyway for that huge section :)

You sound like you'd speak Italian; would you be interested in reading section(s) of this book from the abandoned projects

Code: Select all

Lewis* (abandoned September 2015)

Sections completed: 3 (1 PL OK, others might need edits)

if it was re-set as a group project?

Hi Monika,

Of course, I would love to read "Alice's adventures ..." in Italian, thanks for asking me and I will correct my section as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Little Pippa is gorgeous but unfortunately her mom isn’t doing too well. Means I get lots of granny duty though.
