Hi Sonia

Here's Act 1 and all the intro material. Rather more complex this one, so I hope I've got everything in more or less the right order.

this is not a clickable link ;) but I fished it out from Todd's folder, this should do the trick.

ok I checked Act 1 and the whole intro is very well read  So you decided against saying the Latin, and since that is fine with Todd, it's ok for me as well.

A few things to correct though:

> at 0:01: you forgot to say “Act 1” at the beginning of the intro disclaimer

> at 10:05: “Visitant Ladies, SABLE'S Servants, Recruits, &c.” – these should be named separately, you can see them all in the MW: Servant / 1st Lady / 2nd Lady / 3rd Lady / 4th Lady / 5th Lady / 1st Soldier / 2nd Soldier / Matchlock (Soldier) / Ragg (Soldier) / Tatter (Soldier) / Bumpkin (Soldier) / Clump (Soldier) / Pate (Singer) / Gravedigger / Boy / Jemmie Bowin (Singer) - I hope I didn't forget anything

and don’t forget to say “Stage directions, read by [your own name]” ;)

usually the narrator also includes "read by" after every character, but I guess that was never necessary  anyway, we'll have a "read by" once you include your own name, so Todd could paste from there if needs be. No need to redo that.

> at 10:15-10-37: repetition of intro disclaimer is not necessary and can be cut out

> at about 13:58: missing line: “pausing

> volume is over the 92 dB limit, could be decreased a bit

thanks

Thanks Sonia.

I didn't forget to say 'Act 1' at the beginning - I said it at the start of Act 1 - which seemed more sensible.

I'll make the changes this afternoon.

Best Regards, Chris.

yes in the end I thought that was the reasoning. But this "Act 1" should definitely be part of the intro disclaimer, so we need it there. You can, if you choose say it once more at the real beginning of Act 1, so after the Dramatis Personae, but do not repeat the disclaimer there, that would be too much

Also, I omitted 'pausing' as this would be embedded in the recording as a delay

Someone listening might just wonder why there is a gap in the recording. Saying "pausing" let's them know that the actors are pondering things, thinking things over - makes up for not having the visual effect of being on stage.

thank you Chris

but as Todd said, the stage directions of "pausing" are usually included, because they convey the pause much better than leaving some blank space. Otherwise listeners might think it was an editorial problem, but saying "pausing" shows it was intentional.

> could you please add it at about 14:23 ?

the rest was perfect :)

thanks

Thanks Sonia,

I had considered offering to do Lord H, but I don't think I'm passionate enough :!:

I think Sonia meant there are parts open in other plays. I don't usually like to have a reader play multiple parts in one play - too hard on listeners, and I like to include as many different LV folks as possible.

Thanks, Todd
