Hee hee! Hope your dentist is fine... ola la!Kitty wrote: ↑August 24th, 2018, 4:39 amhaha yes, there are perks but also pitfalls in multilinguicity (is that a word ?) Sometimes I trip into "false-friends", words that I think have the same meaning in every language but then they don't and the situation becomes a bit embarrassing.
One incident I'll always remember is when I told someone I had an appointment with the dentist and I used the French word for it as I thought it had the same meaning in English. But this gave my sentence a whole new meaning: "I have a Rendez-Vous with the dentist"
Needless to say, I never did the same mistake again.

I guess this Jemmie Bowin was a famous singer back in Steele's times. As if we had Pavarotti show up for the final scene nowadaysalanmapstone wrote: ↑September 1st, 2018, 3:42 amJemmie Bowin act 5

I don't know if this is open for one bit role per act; if so, I could take Kate Matlock (ha, she's great), or maybe Bumpkin's two lines, or maybe that's too much - well, Sonia, assign me some or none, yeah?

are we being greedy ?
that's quite a gossipy scene with the ladies Excellently played out, Eva, I especially loved the gravedigger's accent but he cut off the finger !
both are perfectly PL ok.
Thanks !
