Hmm.. a couple word pronunciations I’m unsure of... striae... Anybody know? Is it pronounced strahy-ee?
And “fungi”..... My old dictionary says “fun’ji” (long i)... like funj-eye?
Are there a REALLY good online dictionary somewhere?

Nice ! Thank you! Unfortunately, it doesn’t have pronunciation of the plural of stria, “striae”.
BUT.. I just found the site called “ howjsay”... this seems pretty good for pronunciations!

I like dictionary.com for general pronunciations and forvo.com for foreign languages.
Yes, striae is pronounced strahy-ee
Fungi can be with a soft or hard "g" and long i fuhn-jahy or fuhng-gahy
See https://www.dictionary.com/browse/fungi?s=t for audio pronunciations.
howjsay is also a good site. Some other suggestions can be found on these pages in the LV wiki

If all else fails, you can post in this thread viewtopic.php?f=23&t=40285 and see if another LVer can help.
