Here is Section 13:

I'm trying a new microphone AND new software (OcenAudio). I think it's loud enough (-3.0dB max) as well as quiet enough (minimal background noise).

Friends,
I have a question regarding the second sentence in The Leaf Butterfly. Specifically: “...is that relation which obtains when...”
I guess I’ve never seen the word “obtains” used in that manner. Any suggestions on phrasing? How to read that sentence? How would that part of the sentence be written today?

HI Finn, one meaning of obtains is 'Archaic To succeed.' That (wordy) sentence makes a bit more sense read that way. "..is that relation which succeeds when..."

That is a really long sentence! Another potential synonym for obtains when used in that context could be occurs or prevails.
