On the Parts of Animals by Aristotle (384 BC - 322 BC). Translated by William Ogle (1827 - 1912)

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/on-the-parts-of-animals-by-aristotle/
On the Parts of Animals (Greek: ΠΕΡΙ ΖΩΩΝ ΜΟΡΙΩΝ; Latin: De Partibus Animalium) by Aristotle (ΑΡΙΣΤΟΤΕΛΗΣ). The first book asks whether animals were designed or came into existence by chance. The remaining three books focus on particular examples of various animals and the functions of their organs. The translator William Ogle, who was both a medical doctor and classicist, presented Charles Darwin with a copy of this translation. (Adapted from Wikipedia by Geoffrey Edwards)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://archive.org/details/aristotleonparts00arisrich
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Do you have someone lined up to be the DPL or should we advertise for one?

I'm interested in being the DPL but hesitate to offer as I will be traveling for two weeks in late September and may not have internet access during parts of that time.

Columbus or First Nations/Indigenous Peoples Day depending on where you live. The former in Chicago. Just got back from Vancouver so I'm well versed in (Canadian) indigenous stuff. Mid 80s today so my brain will have to work hard today.
