Lovely! Thanks for putting all those different voice credits together - it reads much more smoothly like this, IMO.mightyfelix wrote: ↑August 10th, 2018, 11:47 pm The dedication/cast list is ready for PL. Let me know if you'd like anything in a different order. I just kind of went with what felt right to me. Also, if there are any snippets of background noise that I missed, since we've discovered you can sometimes hear it when I can't.

Haha yes, the editing jobs are stacking up! I'll confess, though, that today I took a break from DR editing, and I edited two of my own sections that had been patiently waiting their turn.
This project is still awaiting a couple more recordings so we can't finish until we have those anyway.

Last chapter for Cyril!

My recording device was being wonky and I struggled for a while trying to fix it, so I'm more than ready to rerecord anything that doesn't work!

Thanks Ashur! The text is all there and correct (and the song is lovely!) but there is a lot of background noise. I'll get Devorah to have a listen and see if she can clean it up. It sounds like a rattle or a computer fan or something? Unfortunately it is quite loud in a few places, especially over the song at the end.

I do hear the rattle you're talking about, and I don't have any way to clean it out. (The rest of the background noise I can clean out, no problem.) However, that rattling isn't really noticeable when combined with the other two voices, I think.
I do need to ask, though, Ashur, did you listen along with the file I provided while you sang? I'm asking because you're using a faster tempo and not matching us. If you use headphones to listen to the recording I gave you as you record yourself, then we'll all keep together. I can probably finagle it to keep us together anyway, but I'd rather not have to. Also, you missed the second stanza of the song. (The king asked for an encore):
'I saw her bower at twilight gray,
'Twas guarded safe and sure.
I saw her bower at break of day,
'Twas guarded then no more.
The varlets they were all asleep,
And there was none to see
The greeting fair that passed there
Between my love and me.'
EDIT: In case it helps, here is the song as it stands so far. Feel free to take a listen: https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/amulet_07_anthearobert_song.mp3

Ok, perhaps Ashur if you could just redo the song? We will need all the verses, and preferably at the correct tempo! (In a separate file is fine.)
Devorah, I can help you tweak the tempo, if necessary. But I agree it always distorts a bit, and it would be better not to have to do it.

My voice has changed quite a bit since in the four years since I made my username for this site (voice drop), but once I put the three together it sounded quite nice- I have mine attached first and then because I was already putting them together while I worked on it I have all three of us together.

Wonderful! Thank you so much!
Wow, I think if I'm not mistaken, that means that we're fully recorded.
I'm taking a break from Mikado and working on chapter 10 at the moment. I'll have it uploaded in an hour, at the most.

No need to add the song file into the MW, Beth. I already have it downloaded.
