Yes, that is OK. You might have applied a bit too much noise reduction but the result is very undersrtandable. So you have the OK to record!. I apologize for the delay in responding; I have not been receiving any notices that people are posting my projects and so it only by luck I find 'em. Go ahead and record the section and ask if anything is perplexing.

Wide open to any suggestions or comments. Struggled a bit deciding what to do with Bluebeard's speaking parts. Especially since my voice is not very "big" or "dangerous" sounding to begin with. And this was my first time reading female dialogue so....

Thank you. How well I remember the first time reading female dialogue and feeling scared; or any dialog for that matter. Nothing bothers me now, so just trust yourself, you probably did a great job. I have found that people listen to the story and if you are telling it in an intersesting way, they automatically accept whatever you sound like for the characters. Listen to a few other LibriVox recordings of people doing dialog and see how it just flows. Anway, keep up the good work and just dive right in.

Wow! that is high; bet I forgot compression. will fix it in a few minutes and post again.

You did a great job and the voices worked well. No need to worry there.

The only thing I could possibly offer is when a voice gets loud (yelling, emotional, etc) back slightly away from the mic. This will leave the full effect of the emotion without actually changing the volume.

I’ll have to work something out regarding loud voices. Currently, I’m sitting in a small space on a chair that squeaks loudly if I move. I try turning my head away from the mic and aiming my voice up and away, but “to no purpose” (using the parlance of the books we tend to read around here). If I’m going to do loud, emotional voices I’ll either need a quieter chair or a space where I can stand up (while maintaining good acoustics).
